Despite the ever-persistent rumors that he was dating his co-star, Zendaya, Tom Holland was recently seen with a new lady on his arm. This immediately started rumors that the Spider-Man star had found himself a new girlfriend, and that he'd been seeing her "for months." Who is Olivia Bolton?
Let's look at what we know about the new leading lady in the actor's life.
1. They were first spotted together at a music festival.
According to Teen Vogue, Tom Holland and Olivia Bolton were first spotted together in early July, when they attended the British Summer Time Hyde Park Festival in London. They were snapped holding hands and "engaging in PDA" while the music played. When the photos were published, it emerged that Bolton was a "lifelong friend" of the actor.
"Tom and Olivia’s family have been friends for years but it took some time for Tom and Olivia to realize the connection between them,” adding that the pair have allegedly been dating for months. “All their friends and family think they make a lovely couple. He is totally smitten," reported the outlet.
2. Olivia Bolton's Instagram is private ... and Tom Holland follows her on it.
One of the first things that a celebrity does, when he's dating a person — whether that person is famous or not — is follow her on all her social media pages. And that, according to Elle, is exactly what Tom Holland did.
"Fans first found out that Holland and Bolton had been friends since childhood when they discovered a photo of them together as kids. Bolton, for her part, has made her Instagram private, and Holland follows her on it. It's a signal that while she and Holland were willing to make their romance public, she isn't interested in the kind of social media attention — and negative comments — being the non-famous girlfriend of a major celebrity can attract, especially when that major celebrity was someone everyone desperately wanted to believe was low-key dating his Spider-Man love interest Zendaya," reported the outlet.
3. But Tom Holland recently told Elle he's "single."
According to Elle, Tom Holland recently said that he was single, but that he was a "relationship" person and that he enjoyed being in a relationship.
"Holland and Zendaya are not dating. He’s not romantically involved with anyone at the moment but is “definitely a relationship person,” he says. “I’m not the fleeting type at all; it’s not my way of life.” But for now, he’s happy putting all his waking energy into his work," they reported.
4. Olivia Bolton doesn't need Tom Holland for his "fame."
According to Seventeen Magazine, Olivia Bolton is in her early 20s and a native of Nottingham, England. Bolton also has two sisters, and works at a digital production studio in London, England. One of Olivia's sisters, Grace, is a university student in London, too.
5. He has made clear that despite the rumors, he isn't dating Zendaya — and never was.
According to Page Six, while many fans of the Spider-Man franchise were hoping that Tom Holland was dating his co-star, Zendaya — and the duo even posted "publicity-friendly" pictures to continue to spark rumors about their dating status, to the point that so-called "shippers" of their relationship would spend hours looking for proof of their relationship — Holland made clear that he hasn't ever dated Zendaya, and he never will.
6. Tom Holland and Olivia Bolton's relationship is a "big relief."
According to Girlfriend Magazine, the fact that Holland and Bolton have gone public with their relationship is a "big relief" for the actor and his new lady love.
"Tom’s and Olivia’s families have been friends for years, but it took some time for Tom and Olivia to realise the connection between them. Tom’s been dogged with rumors about who he’s dating so finally being public with Olivia has been a massive relief for him,” reported the outlet.
