Who Is Laura Hashian? New Details On Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's New Wife And Baby Mama

The Rock is married! Congratulations to Dwayne Johnson and his longtime love Lauren Hashian. The couple tied the knot in Hawaii last weekend after 12 years of dating. The Rock, 47, met Hashian, 34, in 2006 while he was filming The Game Plan. They started dating in 2007. The couple has two daughters: Jasmine 3, and Tiana, 16 months. Who is Lauren Hashian?

1. She's a singer

Lauren Hashian is a singer and music producer. Music is in her blood thanks to her dad Sib Hashian, who was the drummer for the band Boston in the early 1970s. She started taking music seriously as a possible profession after winning a talent competition while she was in college at Emerson College in Boston. Hashian is from Lynnfield, Massachusetts. Since then, she competed for a chance to perform with TLC on the 2005 show RU the Girl? She has also released a few singles.

2. The Rock is her inspriation

In an interview with Vydia, Hashian credited her then-boyfriend, Dwayne Johnson with being a source of her creativity. She said: "Dwayne has been such a major driving force in my inspiration. He is my motivator and my sounding board every day. Always giving me notes on the work, always motivating me to outdo my last effort. Honestly, if I impress him with a track then I feel accomplished, it’s true! He is an example of how anything you can imagine or dream up, you can do because he lives that way. So when you see that every day, it fuels you & lifts you up too. Also, being in love is a very inspiring thing — all of our experiences, from the good to the fun to the sexy to even the not so good, provide great inspiration to write from."

3. Dwayne was married when they met

When Lauren met Dwayne in 2006, he was still married to his first wife and college sweetheart Dany Garcia, who he met at the University of Miami and was married to from 1997 to 2007. Lauren and Dwayne met reportedly when they were both eating in the same restaurant. The timing of their relationship relative to his divorce sparked a lot of rumors that he cheated on Garcia. But consider this: Garcia left her career as a financial planner to be The Rock's manager and continues to be his manager even after their divorce. Johnson and Garcia also share a teenage daughter, Simone.

4. Famous parents

As mentioned, Lauren's dad was Sib Hashian, drummer for rock band Boston. He died in 2017 at the age of 67 during the Legends of Rock cruise. On the day before her wedding, on what would have been her dad's 70th birthday, Lauren posted the following tribute: "Dad, I miss you everyday, I love you and wish you could be here to see all of this too… But I know you have the penthouse view now. Thank you for still being with us & walking with me in your new way… We (heart emoji) YOU.” Lauren's mother Suzanne was a former bunny at the Playboy Club in Dallas. According to her LinkedIn, these days she owns a massage studio called The Healing Touch in Lynnfield, Massachusetts.

6. She loves to make fun of The Rock

After Dwayne Johnson was crowned People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2016, he opened up about what made his relationship with Lauren "the greatest relationship."
