This family is in chaos.

Chrisley Knows Best premiered in 2014 and follows Todd Chrisley, a real estate “guru,” and his family (including his wife and three kids) living the high life on the outskirts of Atlanta. A spin-off called Growing Up Chrisley premiered in April 2019 and focuses on Todd’s kids: Chase and Savannah.
Over the years, the family has gone in and out of the spotlight. Todd’s son, Kyle, appeared in the first season, but Todd and his wife, Julie, took full custody of Kyle’s daughter, Chloe, after it was revealed that he and the baby’s mother were drug addicts.
Though Kyle was estranged from his family for quite some time, he revealed that this is no longer the case and is supporting his dad in the wake of charges of tax evasion.
But there’s another member of the family that’s missing: Lindsie Chrisley. Like Kyle, she appeared in the series, but left in season 5 after a falling out with her dad.
She’s now also accusing her dad of attempted extortion; sources says she's the one who reported Todd and his wife, Julie (Lindsie is Todd's daughter from his first marriage) to authorities in the first place. She claims her half-brother Chase and Todd harassed and threatened her about a sex tape, claiming they “wanted her to lie about an incident, and if she refused to do so, they were going to release the sex tape involving her.”
Chase denies the allegations and released a statement to People: “I love my sister and I don’t understand why she’s doing this to our family. Not only am I heartbroken over these false allegations by my sister — and they are totally false — but so are my parents and the rest of our family.”
Todd also denied the allegations of extortion, and then went on to claim that Lindsie has been romantically linked to two former contestants who appeared on the Bachelorette! So, which Bachelorette stars did Lindsie Chrisley hook up with?
According to Todd, it was Robby Hayes and Josh Murray. In a statement, he revealed:
“It’s heartbreaking and shameful that these kinds of accusations have to be aired in public. We have tried to keep Lindsie’s extramarital relationships with Robby Hayes and Josh Murray private for her sake since August of 2016.
Sadly, for reasons we can only guess at, she ran to the sheriff’s office to accuse her brother of buying a sex tape of her and Robby, which was a complete lie, and now she’s telling more lies about me. Although our hearts are broken, Lindsie is our daughter and we will always love her.”
You’d think that instead of fighting back against allegations with more allegations, Todd would refrain from making things worse. It should also be noted that Lindsie separated from her husband, Will, in August 2016, though they have since reconciled. They share a son together.
Lindsie’s attorney shot back with a statement of her own:
“Lindsie would like nothing more than to be left alone and go about her own business. Unfortunately, certain members of her family will not let her live in peace. We are flabbergasted at the audacity of Todd and Chase Chrisley, who are more focused on attacking my client rather than defending themselves against the allegations of criminal conduct.
While it is not necessary to detail their repugnant actions, it is important to note that the allegations are of serious crimes against Lindsie. Lindsie has made a complaint of their acts to law enforcement, and she will provide them whatever they need in the course of their investigation into her family’s actions. Lindsie prays for a just outcome so that she can go forward with her life safe from those who are looking to do her harm.”
In addition to the statement by her attorney, Murray responded to the allegations that Lindsie was cheating on her husband with him, saying:
“Lindsie and I have been friends for years. I know Todd and his family are going through some tough times right now and I pray everything works out in their favor. They should probably focus on how not to be imprisoned for 30 years rather than spreading gossip to try and hurt their daughter. I truly believe they are good people and I wish them the best in however they choose to go about their actions.”
For now, we hope the Chrisleys can find a way to move forward and repair their relationships. After all, family is everything.
