Did these two get married?

To say that Joshua Jackson has had an interesting love life would be an understatement. Not long ago, he was seen kissing another woman while "on a break" from his longtime girlfrien, and now, rumors have begun circulating that he may have gotten married to that exact same long-term girlfriend. Hmmm. Who is Jodie Turner-Smith, and did she marry Joshua Jackson?
Let's look at what we know about this strange new development.
1. Joshua Jackson was previously seen kissing another woman.
According to our very own previous report, Joshua Jackson was spotted "kissing a mystery woman" on June 13th, which led to rumors that he and Jodie Turner-Smith had split up for good.
"Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith were seen getting cozy at a party in New York City just days before the actor was caught kissing another woman. The two were celebrating Jackson's 41st birthday in NYC while at a party for the new Cinemax show Jett. Jackson was seen with a mystery woman two days after he was with Turner-Smith," we'd said at the time.
For the record, we never did find out the identity of the "mystery woman."
2. Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson allegedly got a marriage license recently.
Whoever Joshua Jackson may or may not have been kissing doesn't matter now, though, because according to Lainey Gossip, the now clearly on-again couple recently got themselves a marriage license. Or, so it would seem!
"A few days ago, they were photographed at a courthouse in Beverly Hills. According to the paps who got the shots, they were there to get a marriage license. I don’t know if the photographer went inside to seek confirmation that a marriage license is what they were there for or if she was simply getting a drivers’ license. Maybe there’s a specific counter you have to go to for a marriage license, but the photo agency describes the pictures as “it looks like” they obtained a marriage license which, I mean, I prefer my gossip to carry a little more certainty," reported the outlet.
3. They were first linked to one another in late 2018.
If the rumors about their marriage — or impending marriage — are indeed true, it would be pretty incredible, since they seem to be moving rather quickly.
According to People Magazine, the duo was first spotted together in November 2018. They even went on vacation to Nicaragua together!
"Jackson and Turner-Smith first sparked romance rumors after being spotted together grabbing lunch — and holding hands — in November 2018. Shortly after the pair appeared to go on a vacation to Nicaragua, where they were also spotted shopping together in January," reported the outlet.
4. Joshua Jackson previously dated Diane Kruger for more than a decade.
The old saying is true: men immediately know who they want to marry. He could be with someone forever and not get married — and he could be with someone for less than a year and immediately get it together to get hitched.
According to Us Weekly, Joshua Jackson is no different from every other man out there. Even though he's only dated Jodie Turner-Smith for a few months, he made it clear that he wants to marry her. Yet, he was with Diane Kruger for more than a decade, and they split without ever getting married.
But don't think that Diane is upset about it because she told the outlet that the split from her ex was "liberating."
"This was a long time coming. Also we broke up many months before we said we were broken up, so by the time I made that decision, it didn’t feel like it was so urgent anymore. You don’t break up overnight after 10 years, you know what I mean?” she said to the outlet.
5. Jodie Turner-Smith is an actress in her own right.
According to TV Over Mind, even though Jodie Turner-Smith isn't as "high-profile" as Joshua Jackson, she's a successful actress in her own right.
"If you know about the show Nightflyers you might recognize her since she’s played a rather prominent part there, but she’s also been in movies like The Neon Demon and other shows such as True Blood. So yeah, she’s been around," said the outlet.
6. And she's beautiful, inside and out!
According to a different report for Us Weekly, Jodie Turner-Smith is a beautiful woman both inside and out. She's very family-oriented and speaks frequently to her father and brothers. She's also a strong, beautiful black woman who frequently posts Instagram pictures of herself in various "strength" poses, and is known for being kind to all she meets.
If, indeed, she is married to Joshua Jackson — or on her way to tying the knot with him — congratulations are definitely in order!
