While the Bachelor and Bachelorette franchises are known for short-term engagements that don’t end up working out, they can also boost contestants to fame. Such is the case for Tyler Cameron, who appeared in Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette and placed as runner-up.

By August 2019, he was linked to model Gigi Hadid after the two were seen on a date at Soho House in Brooklyn. But like his experience on the reality television show, all good things must come to an end.

1. Cameron has nothing but good things to say about Hadid.

In an interview for People TV, Cameron revealed that even though he and Hadid split, he still holds a great amount of respect for her.

“Just meeting someone that was great. She’s a great person, and I met a great friend. She’s someone that I have a lot of respect for and think highly of, so I met a great person... I took it as I met a great person, a great friend. It wasn’t like a bad breakup or anything like that. It was just, we’re at different parts of our lives right now. We’re just friends,” he said.

2. He also still talks to her.

Despite their split in October after just dating a few months, it appears Cameron isn’t hostile towards his ex. In fact, when speaking to Us Weekly about whether or not the exes are in touch, he admitted, “When we need to be... We’re friends.” Well, it's good to know that exes can still be friends, right?

3. Cameron has been dating.

Since his split from Hadid, Cameron has been linked to Andi Dorfman and Kristina Schulman, who are both Bachelor alumni.

But he’s also said that he didn’t want to date women from the franchise, telling Us Weekly, “I don’t mean no in a negative way, I’ve just never thought of it. Like, here’s beautiful girls and great girls I’ve met, but I haven’t even thought about dating in that sense. I only know a few of them and they’re all great... But like I said, dating girls is, like, the least of my worries right now. I’m so busy and running around.”

4. Hadid has also apparently moved on.

According to multiple sources, Hadid has been back in touch with her ex, Zayn Malik. The two dated from November 2015 to March 2018 and announced their split on Twitter. But they’ve been seen together since their split, spending time with one another in January of this year.

Said a source, “They went through a phase where they took time apart and weren’t communicating at all, but they have been in touch recently. She is supportive of him. They chat here and there but it’s been casual.” One fan of the two even pointed out that Hadid has been liking Malik’s instagram and Twitter posts.

A source for E! News also noted that Hadid “has always had a soft spot for Zayn and they have a lot of history together,” but that they “are definitely not getting back together but are on good terms right now.”

5. But Hadid and Malik are getting back together.

At least not yet. On November 20th, a source revealed that the exes are friendly, but have no plans on rekindling their romance:

“Gigi and Zayn are still speaking but they aren’t getting back together — it’s way too stressful for her. She still has some lingering feelings for him sure but she won’t go through getting back together with him. She’s already tried.

They were spending more time together before the Tyler Cameron relationship. Her family wants her to be happy and they know he’s not the one for her either... She cut herself off from all her friends every time they were together. She focused all her time and energy on him, but it just got to be too much.”
