It's been almost three years since beloved singer George Michael died at his London mansion. His ex-boyfriend Fadi Fawaz, George Michael's ex, was the person who discovered the former Wham! singer's dead body on Christmas Day 2016. Now, Fawaz is basically squatting in his late ex-boyfriend's $6.2 million mansion. Even worse, Michael's family is worried, based on evidence, that he is destroying the home. According to a source, Fawaz has reportedly told his friends that the only way he will be leaving his ex's home is "in a box." Who is Fadi Fawaz and what's going on with George Michael's house?

1. He broke windows

The Sun reported earlier this week that Fawaz went into a rage and broke a number of windows in the mansion. According to workers at a home nearby, there was glass flying everywhere. "He just started going crazy and smashing up the place. It was scary." Fawaz did admit he broke the windows, but he claims he was renovating. Earlier this month he told a reporter: “I was renovating. I was changing things around. I can ask when it’ll be done and let you know. It’s all right, it is all in hand."

2. He's squatting

The 46-year old has been living in George Michael's home since the singer died. He is squatting. He has ignored legal letters from Michael's family. He claims that Michael gave him permission to live in the house before he died.

3. He found the body

Fadi Fawaz is the person who found the lifeless body of George Michael on Christmas morning 2016. He was lying dead in bed. At the time, Fawaz released a statement saying: “We were supposed to be going for Christmas lunch. I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed. We don’t know what happened yet. Everything had been very complicated recently, but George was looking forward to Christmas, and so was I.” Later that day, he tweeted: "It's an Xmas I will never forget finding your partner dead peacefully in bed first thing in the morning... I will never stop missing you xx"

It was later revealed that Fawaz slept in his car on the night George Michael died. He had previously claimed to have spent the entire weekend at Michael's house.

4. How did he and George Michael meet?

Fadi Fawaz was born in Australia. He is a celebrity hairdresser. He was first spotted out and about with George Michael in 2015 whent they were strolling down a street in Switzerland together. 5. He sold all of George's possessions

Back in mid-April 2018, Fawaz took to Twitter to reveal that he was selling all of his ex's belongings, declaring he's "done with being respectful" in an online rant. The Sun reported Michael's belongings were being repossessed after Fadi failed to pay off £513 debt. On Twitter he wrote: "Goerge Micheal [sic] Items for sale if you interested please let me know."

6. He wasn't in George Michael's will

George Michael did not leave Fadi Fawaz anything in his will. In that same Twitter rant, Fawaz went on to write; "It’s a way so I can survive till we solve the problems with his family and lawyer. Since I’m left with no help and since no one is human anymore. I am [sic] done with being respectful towards George Michael or the rest...I will fight for my right from George Michael till the last day of my life. And no I won’t get a job."
