2. Denise Nickerson quit acting back in the late 1970s.

After her role in Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, Denise Nickerson took on a few more acting roles before quitting the business in 1978. According to Cinema Blend, after she left Hollywood, she took on several "ordinary" jobs, including working as a receptionist.

"Denise Nickerson made her TV debut in an episode of Flipper in 1965. She would go on to regular series roles on Dark Shadows as well as the PBS children's' show The Electric Company. Her role in Willy Wonka and the Chcolate Factory would clearly be her most popular role due to the way the film has remained relevant over the decades," they reported.
