Baywatch star Pamela Anderson's divorce from Kid Rock has been confirmed to have ended because of the fimimg of Borat. Sacha Baron Cohen confirmed that the cause of the breakup was true during various interviews. Word has gotten out and fans are anxious to know the raging details of what caused the split between the famous couple. Did Sacha Baron Cohen break up Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock?
1. Sacha Baron Cohen
Cohen is the lead actor and creator of the character Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. Born in London in 1971, he is known for creating fictional characters. Cohen is a comedian, screenwriter and a film producer. The Borat movie was released in 2006. Throughout the movie, the Borat character chased Pamela Anderson throughout the United States. It included the sex tape with Tommy Lee and trying to kidnap her near the end of the film.
2. Borat Causes Breakup For Celebrity Couple
Rumors about Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock breaking up due to Borat have been circulating for quite some time. Now, Sacha has confirmed that Borat was indeed the leading cause. It is still not clear as to what took place but Sacha is right in the middle of it. In the movie, Borat tried to put Pamela in a traditional marriage sack at a book signing at a Virgin Megastore to bring her back to Kazakhstan. The fake kidnapping attempt was the last straw for Kid Rock as the joke pushed him over the edge.
3. Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock
“I think they were a fantastic couple, so it’s a shame. Much better than Julian Assange or whoever she dated later on.” Sacha insisted sarcastically. When he questioned Pamela on what Kid Rock thought about Borat, she answered that they were getting a divorce. The couple saw the film at a special November 2006 first screening at the home of Universal chairman Ron Meyer, and he didn't hide his reaction of his hatred for the film.
4. The Famous Scene
The kidnapping scene left a mark on Pamela Anderson that she will never forget. While Sacha was forcefully attempting to kidnap Anderson he ended up tossing her over her chair and she happened to clip her jaw. Ouch. She also lost a tiny portion of her bone from her jaw, and Sacha began poking fun at her by complimenting her for being brave. What few may not realize is Pamela was in on the prank the whole time but losing a piece of her jaw was not a part of the plan.
