Are you looking for The One or just the one for the night?

When you start dating someone new, you go through the honeymoon phase where everything is perfect, and you can’t get enough of each other.
This phase can last a long time or a very short time when you inevitably fall into a “comfortable” relationship with that person.
Some zodiac signs feel like they’re in the honeymoon phase with their boo from the minute they start dating to the minute things end (if they actually end, but we’ll get back to that).
Other zodiac signs lose the rose-colored glasses pretty early on in the relationship and are ready to move on to someone new after the “settling” phase of the relationship starts.
These zodiac signs are also the signs who tend to lose interest in their relationships the fastest and don’t often stay in one serious relationship for very long.
Now, even though certain zodiac signs have certain traits that make them more or less likely to lose interest in someone fast, every zodiac sign has the ability to find and be with someone that makes them feel like every day is the honeymoon phase.
The honeymoon phase is entirely subjective – what works for you and your boo might not work for every other couple, but then again, you’re not every other couple.
And if you don’t think that the person you’re with is your “forever” person, that doesn’t mean that person isn’t out there; it just might mean you need to do a little more searching to find them.
It’s also important to note that every day in your relationship doesn’t have to be (and shouldn't be) a “honeymoon phase” kind of day.
A strong, healthy relationship is one that has its ups and downs that you and your partner can learn from, rather than just hope that every day is perfect with no plan for when things aren’t perfect.
There are a lot of people out there, and even studies were done on the topic, that believe that soulmates and “forever” relationships can’t exist; that you can’t get everything you need from just one person.
Maybe you believe this, maybe you don’t. But everyone’s relationship is subjective. People are going to have opinions about everything, whether you like it or not.
For some zodiac signs, the ones who start picking out wedding themes and children’s names when they first start dating someone, the thought of being with someone forever is exciting.
For others, it’s terrifying. Whether they have commitment issues, or they just like the chase and not the catch, these zodiac signs all have their reasons for wanting to keep things casual.
No zodiac sign is right or wrong when it comes to dating – everyone has their own preferences.
Here are the zodiac signs who lose interest fast in relationships vs. the ones who stay together forever, according to astrology.
1. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini is a very intellectual zodiac sign. She tends to use her head in almost every situation, which leaves a significant disconnect between her head and her heart in relationships.
Often, she feels very detached from her relationships and flings because it’s a lot less complicated to date with your brain than it is to date with your heart.
Gemini also has a very short attention span, so once she loses interest in one person, she’s onto the next one with very little breathing room in between the two.
While you might still be hung up on her, she takes a very logical approach to leaving a relationship. She loses interest fast because she’s already given herself the time to really think it over in her mind.
2. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libra loves being in relationships, but she also wants every relationship to be the “sweep me off my feet every day” kind of love.
When her relationship starts to settle into that comfort zone that’s less about wooing and more about cohabitating, she loses interest. She wants fantasy every minute of every day.
I think we can agree that Libra is more in love with the idea of love than actual people. She loves romance novels and rom-com movies because they portray sweeping romance in every situation.
In reality, love isn’t that fantastical, and she gets bored very quickly. Libra falls in and out of love constantly, and she’s always losing interest in people who can’t keep up.
3. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius always seems to have one foot out the door when it comes to relationships.
Getting all touchy-feely and being emotional isn’t her thing, and she much prefers a meeting of the minds than a relationship that’s all about holding hands and sharing feelings. Like her fellow air signs, she too takes the more logical, cerebral approach to love.
It may seem like Aquarius has lost interest in you pretty quickly, but there’s a good chance that she’s been mulling over her decision to move on for a while.
As a fixed sign, Aquarius doesn’t break up with people on a whim, but she moves on emotionally and mentally a lot faster than she does physically.
Once she moves on, it’s goodbye forever.
4. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius is like a slippery fish when it comes to dating. She’s hard to catch, and she’s hard to keep in one spot for too long.
She’s always on the hunt for the next adventure, and that need for excitement and spontaneity extends to her dating life, as well.
You should be more grateful for the chance to have Sagittarius in your life, even if only for a minute than try to keep her around for a longer time.
Sagittarius loses interest fast if you can’t keep up with her. She needs a ride or die partner who can roll with whatever she wants to do.
But even if you’re the perfect partner for her, there’s a good chance that she’ll move on to someone else eventually.
She doesn’t like the idea of long-term relationships and would much rather keep it fast and loose.
5. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries loves the grand passion that comes with a relationship with someone, but that doesn’t mean she still doesn’t lose interest quickly.
She’s like a cat with a mouse. She loves the chase of a new relationship, but after she finally catches the person she’s chasing, she wants to let them go and find someone else to chase.
Aries is all about the fast-paced lifestyle of casual dating. So, when it comes to trying to have a serious relationship, all she knows is how to rush into things a little too quickly.
She loses interest too quickly because she doesn’t take the time to get to know someone who could be great for her. All she cares about is catching the mouse and letting it go so she can chase another one.
6. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
As a fire sign, Leo is all about the fiery passion that comes with relationships. She wants to be loved, worshipped, swept off her feet, and all of the above. By who?
That doesn’t matter. What matters is that she gets the love and affection she deserves, and a lot of it.
Leo loses interest when she feels like she’s being ignored by her bae. She knows that life can get busy, but there’s no reason for it to get in the way of her relationship with you.
If you can't make time for your relationship, she’ll find someone who can. She’s not asking for too much – she just knows how much she’s worth and will find someone who can give her what she wants.
7. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
When Virgo meets someone who is up to her standards, she can hold onto the relationship for a very long time. She’s not afraid of long-term commitment – she just wants to make sure that who she’s with complements her well instead of someone who has different values or plans for the future.
What can make Virgo lose interest in the relationship is being a caretaker of sorts to her partner. While her love language is acts of service, she doesn’t want to be the only adult in the relationship.
She needs to know that you are capable of looking after yourself and contributing to the relationship. Show Virgo that you can’t be an adult, and she’ll lose interest very fast.
8. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus only looks for long-term, serious relationships. She’s not a fan of casual hook-ups because she catches feelings early and often.
She wants to find someone she can be with forever because having a love that is lasting and romantic is one of her greatest goals in life.
Taurus is lucky because she’s an earth sign. She knows how to take every day as they come, rather than get too frustrated or lose interest in her partner.
That said, she likes to do things in her time. If you’re not ready to meet the parents, move in together, or start a family by the time she is, she’s going to leave you behind.
Taurus loves hard, and you have to be ready for anything.
9. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer can be very reserved and shy at the beginning of a new relationship – she’s trying to feel out this new person and decide where to go from here.
Once she does open up to her new bae, she becomes lively, intimate, caring, and fiercely loyal… all in the name of love.
Cancer’s main goal in life is to find The One she can share her future with. When she dates, she’s always secretly looking for The One, and she will do whatever it takes to find her forever person.
That said, taking risks in the name of love can be a daunting prospect for her, so give her time to come out of her shell. She might surprise you with how determined she can be to make the relationship last.
10. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
The idea of a “forever” relationship is very interesting to Scorpio. She wants to find someone who can be her best friend and confidant, but first, she has to go through the hard work of dating to find The One.
Don’t underestimate her, though. When Scorpio wants something, she’s very motivated to get it.
Scorpio sometimes tries to rush into a serious relationship with someone who isn’t looking for the same things or is still getting to know her.
Being rejected might make her lose interest in finding real love, but if she pushes through rejection to find someone she has a real, deep connection with, she will give and share with that person everything she has.
11. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces can’t wait to find someone she can share the rest of her life with. Finding The One is definitely at the top of her list, and she’s willing to go to great lengths to find the perfect person to share her love with. Romance, flirting, courting… she wants it all! As a water sign, a long-term relationship is definitely at the forefront of her mind.
Pisces does need to be careful not to let her hot and cold feelings get the better of her, though. She can sometimes freak herself out over the idea of commitment and want to swim away for good.
On the flip side, she can also get very codependent on her partner and latch on to them with no sign of letting go in the future.
She’s certainly a slippery, unpredictable fish at times, but all with good intention. When she finds that perfect, healthy relationship, she’ll stay with that person for a very long time.
12. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn is very patient when it comes to finding the person she’s meant to spend her life with. She knows that someone willing to jump right into a long-term, committed relationship isn’t always easy to find, and she’s ready for the hard work to make it happen.
When Capricorn is motivated to do something that is important to her – like finding The One – she’ll work day and night to make it happen.
Relationships are an investment to Capricorn. She dates to find her forever person, not just a fling for the night.
Through thick or thin, good or bad, Capricorn will fight tooth and nail to keep her relationship happy and healthy. She is most likely to stay with someone forever because true love means making the effort, no matter how hard it is. Don’t underestimate a Capricorn.
