Who Is Trace Lenhoff? New Details On Queer Eye's Antoni Porowski's Boyfriend
Love is in the air.
Instagram Antoni Porowski is Queer Eye For The Straight Guy's resident foodie, so it isn't a surprise he enjoys a cozy night in with his bae, Trace Lehnhoff. In fact, that's his favorite way to spend time with his boyfriend. But lest you think he does all the heavy lifting in the kitchen, Antoni is quick to point out that it's a joint effort. In an interview with Life & Style at City Harvest; The 2019 Gala, he was asked what he cooks on his day off from the hit Netflix show. The same thing the rest of us do: carbs. He said: "Fresh pasta's definitely the more recent thing, but it's summer months coming now so we're big into Mediterranean food — grilled fish, very simple the whole thing — with some oregano and lemon. Nice, simple, fresh." That sounds divine, Antoni. I'll be right over.
In all seriousness, though, Antoni has been linked to Flipping Out's Trace Lehnhoff since October 2018. He was fresh off the end of a seven-year relationship with Joey Krietemeyer. Things appear to be going very well for the stylish couple, but we want to know more about Antoni's love. Who is Trace Lehnhoff?
1. How did they meet?
You guys, Antoni and Trace met on the 'gram. It was a sliding-into-the-DMs moment of magic. On an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Porowski said that he and Trace met "the 2019 way." He told Andy that he met his beau on Instagram. Andy responded by telling Antoni that Ricky Martin met his husband on Instagram.
2. What's his background?
If Trace Lehnhoff looks familiar, it's because he was a regular on the Bravo show Flipping Out, which centered on designer Jeff Lewis and the issues and dramas encountered during his house flipping projects. Trace moved to Los Angeles in 2008 and attended the Art Institute of California Los Angeles. He graduated with his B.S. in interior design. He started at Jeff Lewis Design as an intern, was promoted to Associate Designer and once he obtained his degree, promoted to a full-time position at JLD.
3. They have hectic schedules
The couple went IG official back in December. Antoni admits that while they try to have consistent intimate date nights, their hectic schedules can sometimes get in the way. He said: “Sometimes it’ll happen two or three times and then it won’t happen for three months because life is insane right now but I do my best.” That makes sense. Season three of Queer Eye took Antoni to Missouri and Kansas.
4. Ah, but does he like guacamole?
Considering that Antoni Porowski is the guacamole guru, we sure hope Trace Lehnhoff likes avocados! How can you resist when Queer Eye's resident food and wine expert tries to teach some lovable lump of a guy how to ditch the Farmer John breakfast sandwiches, Doritos and Mountain Dew and embrace healthier food and drink. One way to nearly everyone's heart is through guacamole. In Antoni's world, guac is not just eaten with chips, it's a condiment! “Just toss it with leftover chicken breast or pulled rotisserie chicken, cubed, with jicama, fresh cilantro and lime juice. It’s great in a wrap or over rice, quinoa, or even baby kale,” he said.
