He's BFFs with Kim and Kourtney Kardashian

On the second episode of the new season of Project Runway, Simon Huck joined host Karlie Kloss to present the designers with an unusual challenge. He is the creator of the A. Human exhibition. In the episode, the designers were super-freaked out when they entered their workroom to find it completely redesigned and the models modified with A. Human designs. Simon Huck is the creator of A. Human and he told the designers: "A. Human is a futuristic fashion line comprised of body modifications. In this world, we ask one fundamental question: If you can change your body as easily as you can change your clothing, would you?" Who is Simon Huck?
1. What is A. Human?
In September 2018, Simon Huck launched the first exhibition in his immersive live storytelling brand Society of Spectacle, A. Human, which is an immersive theatrical exhibition that features body modificatons from the future, launched on September 4, 2018 to great critical acclaim. In an interview with Vogue Huck said: "We wanted to use the future of fashion and the future of self-expression as a way to look at the future. That is how the ethos of A. Human formed. The exhibiton received publicity worldwide and was one of the most talked about things at New York Fashion Week. Huck launched a PR campaign with the help of famous friends Kim Kardashian West and Chrissy Teigen who wore some of the exotic designs in the A. Human line. Kardashian posted a video on her Insta wearing a necklace that seemed to be implanted under her skin that synched to her heartbeat. Teigen wore skin scuplted feathers.
2. What was the Project Runway challenge?
For Huck's Project Runway challenge, three teams of five designers were tasked with creating a mini collection that highlighted one of A. Human's body modificatons. The designers were told to make the collecton fashion forward — Karlie Kloss said they should think about what fashion will be like five minutes into the future. While it is a team challenge, each person on the team was responsible for one look.
3. What's his background?
Simon Huck was born in 1983 in Ottawa, Ontario. Canada. He studied acting at Canterbury High School in their specialized arts program. In 2005, he moved to New York City to work for the prominent publicist Lizzie Grubman. One of the first projects he worked on was Sean Comb's famous White Party in the Hamptons. In 2006, Huck joined Command PR; he became a partner in the firm in 2010. In 2013, he bought out Jonathan Cheban's share of the company and became its Principal. Under Huck, Command expanded its hold over the influencer marketing industry while creating some of the most successful celebrity campaigns for brands.
4. His Kardashian Konnection
Command PR was started by Kim's BFF Jonathan Cheban AKA Foodgod. When Huck bought Cheban out in 2013, they had a falling out. That didn't affect his relationship with the Kardashan girls. He's appeared on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami and Kourtney And Kim Take New York. He even had his own reality show for a hot second in 2010 called The Spin Crowd, which took viewers inside the world of Command PR. That show was actually produced by Kim Kardashian but was canceled after one season.
