Mötley Crüe is one of the most successful rock bands we’ve had in the last few decades. Since the formation of the group — whose members include Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Vince Neil, and Tommy Lee — they have sold more than 40 million records around the world.
And now, Netflix has released a biopic of the band called The Dirt.
But aside from their music, they are perhaps known more for their lifestyles of sex and drugs, as well as their prolific relationships. And while many of us are familiar with the personal life of Tommy Lee, what about the other members? We’re curious about Vince Neil, in particular.
Who is Vince Neil’s wife? Well, the rock star has been married a whopping four times!
1. His first wife
In 1981, Neil married his first wife, Beth Lynn. The couple divorced in 1985, but have one daughter together, Elizabeth Ashley Wharton, born in 1983.
2. His second wife
Just two years after his divorce, he married mud wrestler and fashion model, Sharise Ruddell. They divorced in 1993.
The couple had one daughter Skylar, who passed away in 1995 at just four years old. Skylar had been battling cancer, and after her passing, Neil set up the Skylar Neil Memorial Fund, which raises money for cancer research.
According to Neil, it was one of the worst times of his life. Not only was he going through a divorce, but he was addicted to drugs and alcohol. He was also suicidal.
“I would stay at the children’s hospital as long as they’d let me, then I’d drive straight to Moonshadows in Malibu and get liquored up with the regulars until I couldn’t remember my own name. I knew it was wrong to be drinking at this time, but it was the only way I could keep from going completely crazy,” he said.
3. His third wife
Shortly after his second divorce, he began dating Heidi Mark, an actress and Playboy playmate whom he met on a blind date. The date was set up by her makeup artist.
Within two months, the couple was engaged, and eventually married in 2000. However, Mark filed for divorce in 2001, after just 15 months of marriage, citing alcohol abuse and violence. They had no children.
4. His fourth wife
In 2005, Neil married his fourth wife, Lia Gerardini. MC Hammer officiated the ceremony, since he was an ordained minister and was a fellow castmember on The Surreal Life, which Neil appeared on. Ten years later, Neil announced they were divorcing.
5. His other relationships
Since he was a rock star in the 70s and 80s, who knows how many women Neil has romanced? However, in between his marriages, he’s been linked to Alicia Jacobs, Brook Haven, and has been dating celebrity makeup artist and beauty educator, Rain Andreani, since 2011.
Neil has a son from his relationship in the 1970s with a woman named Tami Jones, named Neil Wharton. Neil is also a grandfather. His daughter Elizabeth gave birth to his second grandchild, Hailee, in 2015, and his son Neil has a son of his own named Trace, born in 2011.
