Who Is Mod Sun? New Details On Bella Thorne's Boyfriend

getty We don’t often hear about celebrity couples being in polyamorous relationships, but actress Bella Thorne hasn’t been afraid to speak up about it. In 2016, she came out as bisexual, and was in a polyamorous relationship with internet personality Tana Mongeau, and musician Mod Sun.
In an interview with Gay Times, she spoke about the bond she has with both Mongeau and Mod Sun, saying, “I don’t think anybody will really understand the bonds that I share with Mod or Tana. Yeah, we joke around about poly, but we aren’t in the sense that we don’t put a word, a box or label too many things. It is what it is.”
But in February 2019, she and Mongeau called it quits after just one year together, and confirmed their split on social media.
Despite no longer seeing Mongeau, things still seem to be going strong with Mod Sun and, apparently, the two are super into one another.
According to a source, “She still went through all the breakup feelings when she and Tana split, but it was all made a lot easier because of her relationship with Mod Sun. If anything, this breakup with Tana has made them closer.”
Bella and the musician have been dating for two years, but just who is Mod Sun?
The rapper, whose stage name is an acronym for “Movement on Dreams, Stand under None,” has released five mixtapes and EPs as a solo artist, but was also in the bands Four Letter Lie, and Scary Kids Scaring Kids, playing drums in both. He released his debut album, Look Up, in 2015, and his second album, Movie, in 2017. He’s also published non-fiction books, poetry, and journals.
But when it comes to his relationship with Thorne, sources say “Bella‘s still very much in love with Mod... They are together almost non-stop. She loves him and they are very solid.”
And though she doesn’t currently have a girlfriend in addition to her relationship with Mod Sun, he’s perfectly fine with another addition. “Mod lets [Bella] take charge. He is more than happy with Bella, but he also lets her be herself. And if that means she wants to bring a new girlfriend into their lives, then he will be supportive,” another source says about the relationship.
However, the couple hasn’t been without their issues. She recently called Mod Sun out for allegedly cheating after he had notifications on the dating app Badoo. According to Seventeen Magazine, she kept hearing the phone’s notifications going off. She posted a story to her Instagram with the caption “When your boyfriend still has a dating app on his phone.”
It seems the two have moved past it and are more in love than ever. And in the end, that’s what really matters.
