Mariah Brown is engaged!

The Sister Wives star recently proposed to her girlfriend of two years, Audrey Kriss on Jan. 16. Mariah — the only daughter of Kody and Meri Brown — went public with her relationship back in March 2017; months after she came out as a lesbian, despite her parents' hope she would follow in their polygamous footsteps.

When that news broke, Meri cried and said she and her family were blindsided by the news. A year after that emotional news, Radar Online reported that Mariah was moving in with Audrey in Chicago; away from her parents and their reality show.

“We had just started dating when we came for the first time two years ago and it was such a special time for us that I wanted to propose there,” Mariah told PEOPLE.

Even though Mariah is sure Audrey is the "one," she doesn't know the exact moment she fell in love.

“I can’t exactly pinpoint but it was pretty early on. There are a lot of things about Audge that I am so in love with and I knew that I wanted to love those things for the rest of my life. She made me a better person and continues to make me a better person.”

Mariah gave PEOPLE details about what that moment felt like.

“We were in the middle of where everyone was marching and I was trying to get the ring out of my pocket, where it was stuck. I think Audrey was fixing her hair, but I just got down on one knee and said some sweet things that neither of us can really remember because we were so caught up in the moment,” she said.

Audrey immediately got emotional.

“She was really sweet and started crying and I was crying and then I put the ring on her, got up and gave her a kiss and someone around us goes ‘Did she say yes?”’And she totally hadn’t yet! Then she said ‘I do! I do!’ and then realized that was the wrong thing to say and then said ‘Yes!’ She’s such a sweetheart. The ring is absolutely perfect, if I do say so myself,” she recalled.

6. They're in no rush to get married.

After spending two years dating before getting engaged, it's no surprise that the couple is not in any rush to tie the knot. And it sounds like even though Mariah's family might have been skeptical of her new relationship at first, they're reportedly happy for them.

“Our friends and family have all been so excited for us! I actually think my dad almost cried! He really likes Audrey. All of our friends have been so sweet and offering to help and our families are obviously excited to share their input,” she said.

7. They're always posting sweet photos of each other.

The couple has no issue talking about their relationship online. They often post sweet photos of each other on their Instagram accounts, with equally as sweet captions to accompany them.

On Jan. 22, after Mariah proposed, she shared a photo of Audrey giving her a kiss on the cheek.

“Happy two year anniversary to the love of my life. I’ll never know how I got so lucky to live life with you but I’ll continue to love you more everyday. Thank you for making everyday the best day, baby love,” she wrote.

Audrey is just as doting. She captioned a photo prior to their engagement of the two holding hands, "there's no place I'd rather be."
