He was arrested for heroin.

Teen Mom OG reality star Ryan Edwards was arrested for theft of services under $1,000 on January 23, according to People.
His bond for that charge was set to $500. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and according to Radar Online, that refers to his previous charge of heroin possession in Red Bank, Tennessee.
The 31-year-old is being held on no bond for that charge because of an outstanding warrant. His Red Bank County court date is set for Jan. 28, while his Hamilton County court date is set for Feb. 6.
TMZ reported that police documents say Ryan walked out of a bar without paying is $36 bill last month. The bartender called police after he recognized the reality star from his previous mugshots.
He was reportedly in the bar from noon until 4 p.m.
This incident happened only two months after Ryan's wife, Mackenzie Edwards, confirmed that he had completed 90 days in rehab following an arrest back in July for breaking probation on previous heroin possession charges.
Ryan has been struggling a long time with substance abuse, which has been a major storyline on Teen Mom OG. Before Ryan's marriage to Mackenzie, he came onto the show as the boyfriend of Maci Bookout.
They share a 10-year-old son named Bentley together.
After they broke up, Maci married Taylor McKinney, and they had two children, Jayde and Maverick. Mackenzie and Ryan also had a child together named Jagger, who was born in October, in the midst of his rehab.
Maci has continuously expressed concerns for their 10-year old child for being in his father's care.
“I mean it’s not like we don’t care, but we can’t live our lives constantly thinking about, worrying or questioning a grown man,” she explained in September 2018. “I mean, it’s not what we want our lives to be and so we know what we know and it’s up to the other side to know what they want to know.”
In 2017, Ryan was arrested for possessing approximately "14 hypodermic needles, one of which was loaded with heroin." Police also found "two silver spoons with residue on them," along with 1.8 grams of heroin.
A month after his arrest, Teen Mom OG aired a scene of Ryan falling asleep at the wheel.
Mackenzie continues to show support for her husband and stands by him.
