Who Is Antony Karagiannis? New Details On Casey Anthony's Rumored Boyfriend
He has a sketchy past of his own.
Instagram Casey Anthony slammed into headlines back in 2008 when she was accused of the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. Since her controversial acquittal in 2011, Anthony has largely remained out of the limelight. Now, the notorious former suspect, 32, seems to be dating again.
RadarOnline reports Anthony was spotted out at a bar with 38-year-old Antony Karagiannis back in October. The couple appeared to be on a date, "cozied up" at Bru's Room in West Palm Beach where they were photographed together.
The dating rumors come shortly after reports broke last month that Anthony "is open" to having more kids. "For a long time she was like ‘no way,'” a source told People back in October. "But time has changed that and she’s now open to it in a way she hasn’t been before.”
Whether or not Anthony has children in mind, she does appear to be reviving her romantic life. So who is Antony Karagiannis? Here's everything we know about Casey Anthony's rumored new boyfriend.
1. He doesn't seem bothered by her past
“Her past is none of my business. I don’t know anything about it,” Karagiannis told Radar, adding that Anthony is very friendly. “When I first met her, I knew the name, but I never really read into it. I don’t really care!”
2. Fake cop incident
According to an incident report obtained by Radar, Karagiannis had a habit of posing as a cop outside his ex-girlfriend's West Palm Beach apartment complex, allegedly in an attempt to save parking spots. According to the 2014 report, "Each time he [was] confronted about the parking issue he advises security that he is a Miami Dade Police Officer and his weapon is in the vehicle." Charges were never filed against Karagiannis for the incident.
3. Battery charges
Back in 2005, Karagiannis was arrested on suspicion of battery in an incident involving his roommate, a Del Ray Police Department clerk told Radar. The incident was investigated, but the files were apparently destroyed during a water leak.
4. He has a daughter

5. "Not dating"
The rumored couple do not appear to have made anything official, with Karagiannis allegedly telling Radar they are "not dating."
6. He left his girlfriend for Casey
While Karagiannis claims the two are keeping things casual, other sources tell a different story, claiming Karagiannis left his long-term girlfriend to pursue a relationship with Anthony. "He broke up with his girlfriend because he wanted to sleep with other women. A week later, she went around to move her things out of his place and the bed was a mess. Now he’s dating Casey Anthony,” a source close to the ex — who is not the mother of Karagiannis' child — told Radar.
7. He has her dad's blessing...kind of
In a recent appearance on Dr. Oz, Anthony's father, George Anthony, addressed the dating rumors. "They’re very involved, which is great. I’m glad for her," he said, adding, "I hope whatever life she has left, that she makes something positive happen in her life." He went on to add that he is no longer a part of his daughter's life: "We're just not connected anymore, and that hurts." George Anthony went on to admit that while he would like to be a part of his daughter's life, he "would never feel comfortable," adding, "I can't trust her."
