We are so busy trying to keep up with life, social media, relationships, and maybe even the Kardashians, that it almost leaves us no proper time to take care of ourselves.

There are many days that it seems there is so much going on that we forget the basics. When I say basic, I mean, real basic! Like, making sure you know not only how to drink more water, but how to stay properly hydrated through other means.

But even though most of us know about the many benefits of drinking water, some people don’t know how to stay hydrated on the go.

1. Drink more water

The first, easiest step is to drink more water! No, I am not talking about the water in coffee or alcohol; I am talking about good ol’ H2O.

According to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine:

"The vast majority of healthy people adequately meet their daily hydration needs by letting thirst be their guide. The report did not specify exact requirements for water, but set general recommendations for women at approximately 2.7 liters (91 ounces) of total water -- from all beverages and foods -- each day, and men an average of approximately 3.7 liters (125 ounces daily) of total water."

Take a water bottle with you wherever you go. Keep refilling that bottle of yours and make it a habit of not going anywhere without it. This is how to stay hydrated the easy way.

Is water too plain for you? Not a problem! There are so many other options.

Gatorade offers great taste and electrolytes. Not into that either? There are several options out there for vitamins, electrolytes, and flavor to be added to your water. You can take these simple little packets that you can take on the go!

If you are looking for a more “natural” way to flavor your water, infusing your water not only tastes amazing but it’s definitely becoming more of the trend!

3. Avoid dehydration with a hydration pack

Many companies have designed backpacks that include a water pouch! So before you head out on your adventure, fill up with your hydration choice and take it with you.

While the hydration pack is on your back, there is a long tube and bite valve so you can literally drink and be on the move. If this is something you haven’t tried, you should. This is another simple and easy way to stay hydrated on the go!

These are just some of the many easy ways for you to stay hydrated on the go.

To some it might feel like an inconvenience. But, you don’t need to feel that way. Once staying hydrated in your routine you won’t want it any other way.

And as food for thought, here's something to remember about hydration from Paul C. Bragg N.D., Ph.D. and Patricia Bragg N.D., Ph.D.:
