Are Justin Bieber And Hailey Baldwin Saving Themselves For Marriage? New Details About How Their Religion Is Influencing Their Engagement
It's been a month since they announced the proposal.
Getty Images Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin might have had an untraditionally quick engagement, but the rest of their pre-marriage courtship could be more restricted then we think.
A new report by Star claims that the 24-year-old singer and the 21-year-old model are abstaining from sex until marriage.
"They’re both very religious and they want to abstain until they’re married,” a source who claims to have seen the two of them staying at different places during their multiple trips to NYC.
“Justin’s a recent convert, but Hailey was brought up with religion her whole life. It’s important to them to wait. So after their dates, he goes to a hotel and she goes to her apartment.”
Of course it's highly unlikely that Baldwin and Bieber will ever confirm — or even acknowledge — this rumor, so there's no way to know how much truth it holds. But given their religious dedications, it's doesn't seem that unlikely.
Since they began dating this past June, the couple has been seen at about 43 different church services together, according to The Cut.
They're also rolling with a religious and pro-abstinence crew. Last month, they hung out with Churchome pastor Judah Smith at a conference in Seattle. Smith is a big endorser of waiting until marriage and has often spoken of the benefits of it in his own relationship.
“My name’s Judah, I’ve been married to my wife 17 years as of November 5,” he said during a sermon in 2016. “It was an awesome anniversary celebration and there was just a lot of sex. Chels and I have determined that we literally have had sex more than 2,000 times. We actually counted … If you had sex with the same person 2,000 times, you get good. I’m just saying.”
Needless to say, if they are waiting for marriage then it won't be a huge surprise if their engagement is even shorter then predicted.
Sources say that Bieber "can't wait to call [Baldwin] his wife."
“They don’t want a long engagement and are already planning their wedding,” the source said. “They are spending a lot of time with Hailey’s family in N.Y.C., and everyone is very excited that they are getting married.”
"Justin still seems extremely happy. He is relaxed and very much enjoying his life. He feels very lucky to be with Hailey. He can’t wait to call her his wife.”
