Now rumors are swirling that Jennifer Aniston is back together with her ex-husband Brad Pitt. Still other rumors say they've gotten remarried to each other. Now let's keep in mind Pitt left Jen for Angelina Jolie in 2005, launching a 13-year run of tabloid headlines about Jen's love life. Let's take a look at what the rumor mill is chattering about right now and get to the bottom of it.
1. They got married July 29, 2000
Sure, it would be a very nice ending if the former spouses were to get back together or get remarried on or around what would be their 18th wedding anniversary. Back in 2000, Jen and Brad were the biggest, most famous, best looking, most #relationshipgoals couple around. She was the girl next door who happened to be our favorite Friend. He was the heartthrob we all wanted to date. It was all so romantic.
2. Along came Angelina
Brad and Jen separated on January 7, 2005. Their divorce was final on October 2, 2005. Brad started dating his Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie pretty much as soon as he split from Jen. This started the tabloid media coverage of Jen and Brad and Angelina that continues to this day. In a 2015 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aniston said, "Nobody did anything wrong...It was just like, sometimes things happen."
3. The current rumors, part 1
Recently, In Touch magazine reported Ben and Jen were leaning on each other during the breakup of his marriage to Angelina Jolie and their tense custody battle and the breakup of Jen's marriage to Justin Theroux. Their source said, "Brad and Jen have bonded like never before over the past year. And they've been helping each other through their respective troubles." The source also claims that Brad admitted to Jen that he had wronged her.
4. The current rumors, part 2
In Touch magazine was at it again, claiming Jen and Brad remarried each other in a backyard ceremony on what would have been their 18th wedding anniversary. That's all well and good, except, their anniversary would be July 29th. Also, Jennifer is in Portofino, Italy filming Murder Mystery with Adam Sandler.
5. So, are they or aren't they?
Grab that vintage Magic 8-ball and give it a shake and all signs point to No, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are not back together, despite what a nice ending that would be for many of their fans and for love in general.
6. What about the photo?
There is a photo circulating of Brad dressed in all black and Jen in a white dress. That photo is photoshopped. The Jen part of the photo was taken in 2012 at an AFI Gala with film executive Amy Pascal. Amy's arm was around Jennifer in the original photo. The photoshopped pic replaced Brad for Pascal in the photo.
