How Women Are Getting Dates With Their Crushes Using The Twitter ‘Valentine’s Day Challenge'

Should women ever ask a guy out? It's one of those questions for the ages that people of any gender could seemingly debate from now until the end of time. And when you're trying to figure out how to get a guy to like you, deciding whether or not to say something first can be way more stressful that you ever expected.

Yesterday, however, sex and relationship blogger and self-proclaimed "agony aunt" Dami Olonisakin, AKA Oloni, asked the women of Twitter to join her in a daring Valentine's Day challenge: to ask the guy they're currently crushing on to be their Valentine and go out with them on a date, then share screenshots of the men's responses.

"Ladies, ask the guy you have a crush on to be your Valentine this year & tell him you’d like to go on a date with him. Tweet me a screenshot of his response."

After all, whether you are in the camp that believes women should never under any circumstances whatsoever ask a guy out or you firmly stand with the position that equal rights mean equal responsibilities in every single aspect of life, love, dating and relationships, it's tough to argue that aren't certain occasions just begging for us all to go for what we want most with every last drop of gusto we can muster.

If Valentine's Day isn't the one time women should feel perfectly comfortable laying their attraction on the line and making the first move, heaven help us all.

If you've been wondering how to get a guy to like you, or if you think he's already into you and is just too shy to let you know, check out 11 of the messages women sent their crush as part of the Twitter #ValentinesDayChallenge for some real life inspiration.
