Hilary Duff And Hubby Mike Comrie Have A Baby Boy!

The couple welcomed their first child this week.

While they've only been married for a year and a half, Hilary Duff and her hubby, NHL star Mike Comrie, expanded their family this week as they welcomed a baby boy into their lives, according to Us Weekly.

The 7-pound, 6-ounce baby boy was named Luca Cruz Comrie by his doting parents, and will surely be showered in love and attention by not only his family, but the couple's fans as well!

Hilary took to Twitter to announce the birth of her son, sharing his name and reporting that he was healthy.

"We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world," she also tweeted.

Even though Hilary, 24, is balancing being a wife and a new mother (no small feat!), we aren't surprised she's been thinking about getting back to her career, too. Did Hilary Duff's Pregnancy Announcement Cost Her A Film Role?

In an interview with Us Weekly last December, she admitted that once she settles into motherhood, she'd like to get back in the studio to make a new record to follow up her last one in 2007.

"I think that after I have the baby I'll want to sit still for a few months and learn how to be a really good mom. And then there's no reason why I can't put a record out and tour... It might take a little while but I'm really excited about it."

"People keep saying to me, 'Sleep right now. Get your sleep!' I keep saying, 'I just want the baby here! I want to play and I'm ready to see what he looks like.'"

She must be thrilled that she doesn't have to wait any longer. Congratulations to the happy family!
