weheartit Have you ever seen someone across the aisle from you in a theater or in the corner of a room at a party, and there was just something about them that gravitated you towards them? Some kinds of attraction are so instantaneous that they can take your breath away.
Sometimes these immediate attractions morph into something lasting, and other times they fizzle away.
If an attraction is only based on the physical, it usually isn't lasting. I remember a guy I went to school with who was so hot that everyone was immediately attracted to him. Unfortunately, the minute he opened his mouth and said something, the attraction started to dissipate and the more he talked, the less that people were attracted to him.

It wasn’t that he was evil, stupid or just a bad guy, it’s that beneath his amazing body and beautiful face, he was kind of boring and simple. He was a huge disappointment.
Most of us have something that catches the eyes of other people — perhaps it’s a dazzling smile, or maybe it’s the way the person pays attention to the person they are speaking to.
We need an initial attraction to propel us to action and then we need a more solid attraction to keep us interested. Not everything that triggers an attraction is physical, which is good because then the attraction has a better chance of lasting.
There are times when you’re attracted to someone because they are charming and delightful and you find yourself drawn to them. You might not have been attracted to them at first but maybe they made you laugh and you felt yourself warming to them.
