It seems fans of Fifty Shades of Grey have taken to social media and star Jamie Dornan is not happy. There have been rumors since the inception of the movie that Dornan and his co-star, Dakota Johnson, have moved their on-screen love affair off camera. Dornan's wife, model Amelia Warner, is said to have accompanied him to the movie set. Whether it was to make sure everything was on the up and up, or just as an admirer of her husband’s work remains to be seen.

Other popular reports claimed that Dornan and Johnston truly hated each other during the filming of the kinky BDSM films. That just shows how sometimes, being a super star, you simply cannot win.

Dornan has had enough of the negativity associated with being a star on social media and deleted his Instagram and Twitter accounts. "The more public interest in you, the more horrible people become," said Dornan in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "People start to say disgusting things about your family, about your children. What's the point?" So even though his fans will miss him, it looks like he’ll be happy to spend time with his family ... without the added pressure of pleasing the social media gods.

At one point during the promotion of the first film, 50 Shades of Grey, Dornan compared his popularity from the film to … Hitler?

He said, "Mass appreciation doesn't always equate to something good. Think of Hitler! But I think, in this case, it must. It simply must.”

The book series, which sold over 125 million copies, has been hotly debated since its initial release in 2011, with many insisting that character Christian Grey's treatment of Anastasia Steele was not only creepy, but borderline manipulative and abusive. So between his murky feelings on the much debated role and his relationship (good or bad) with his costar, I bet Dornan is perfectly happy to be done filming the trilogy, which recently wrapped up the two sequels.
