Tom is a retired Clinical Director, Psychotherapist, Developmental and Prevention Educator, and freelance writer. He taught courses on Adolescent and Young Adult Development at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for 20 years. His Asynchronous Development Model was featured in the Chronicle of Higher Education and he recently created a 12-book children's series promoting social/emotional learning.
