Having something to look forward to can make all the difference in a person's life. Maybe they have a trip planned for Europe or a concert coming up.
Others may think they're silly for planning so far out in advance, but to them, it's nice to know they have something fun coming up. It doesn't even have to be a trip or a concert. Maybe there's a holiday they love or an occasion they want to host a party for.
By scheduling something exciting and anticipating it happening, it makes their lives more spontaneous and fun.
2. Trying something new
It's so easy to get so caught up in our routine that we forget that life is meant to be lived. Fun and interesting people know this, so they try to learn something new every day.
They may place a different order at the coffee shop or make a new friend at the gym. No matter how big or small the change is, it's making everything more interesting and fresh.
Trying new things is good for you. Not only does it help people step out of their comfort zones, but it keeps the mind sharp and helps it adapt to changes much easier.
3. Exercising
People think that exercising has to be a daunting task, but it doesn't. You don't have to run a marathon or lift weights in order to enjoy working out. Instead, it can be something like going for a walk around the neighborhood or having a friend join you for a Pilates class.
Exercise is great for the body, but it also benefits the mind as well. It releases endorphins that make you happier, so fun people make playful movement a part of their regular routine.
4. Unplugging
Getting off of your phone can sound scary, and it may feel like everything is online, but once you start unplugging from social media, you slowly start to realize that it's the best way to see what's actually in front of you.
People with fun, interesting lives know that their reality isn't based on what they see online. So, they turn their notifications off. They go for a walk and leave their phone at home. They try really hard not to use their phone first thing in the morning.
After a while, it becomes a daily routine that improves their well-being while keeping things exciting.
5. Seeing loved ones regularly

Even the most introverted people need social connections. It can be hard to make time for socializing when life gets busy, but it's so important to do so.
Fun and interesting people tend to schedule events with their friends regularly. They might make a plan to get drinks and see a movie, or just hang out while cooking. The point is that they're together.
It seems like a little thing, but if we don't schedule that time, we rarely see the people who matter most.
6. Valuing their alone time
Socializing and making connections are important, but so is making time for yourself. After all, the most important relationship of all is the one you have with yourself.
Folks with interesting lives give themselves time alone to not just enjoy their own company, but to reflect on their lives. They take time to feel gratitude for the good things and learn from the bad things, and as a result, they become a better person.
