Meanwhile, younger generations may look at that attitude and wonder why anyone would want to make life any harder than it needs to be. The truth is, certain generations aren't tougher than the others. They just have their own expectations about how problems should be solved.
How people raised in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s handle minor inconveniences that younger generations just can't:
1. They just deal with it

People who grew up in the '60s, '70s, and '80s typically have a very simple response when something goes wrong: deal with it and keep moving. Sure, it can be slightly annoying to run into a small hiccup, but they don't see a reason to turn it into a full-blown emergency.
They still get frustrated, but they just see minor inconveniences as a part of life rather than something to tackle immediately. Younger generations can sometimes find this carefree perspective to be both baffling and incredibly irritating.
2. They wait patiently
Older adults are surprisingly comfortable with waiting. They grew up without the constant stimulation of tech, so a little waiting is literally no big deal.
They discovered early that getting an instant response or solution wasn't always a reasonable option. So instead of watching the clock, they tend to settle in and be patient. This can seem almost impossible to modern-day kids who are used to having everything happen quickly.
3. They fix small issues themselves
People who were raised in the '60s, '70s, and '80s have a strong instinct to take care of things on their own before calling someone for help. A home renovation usually becomes a DIY project rather than a reason to hire someone.
There's also a level of satisfaction that comes with making something work again and not giving up. Younger generations are accustomed to having online tutorials and services at their fingertips, and they may think it's easier and less time-consuming to just replace whatever broke.

'60s, '70s, and '80s kids have a knack for making a joke when something unexpected happens. If the car won't start or they accidentally spill coffee, they don't let it derail their whole mood. They simply laugh and carry on.
They know that getting worked up won't make problems disappear, so their humor is more practical than anything. Young people might not always agree with that kind of attitude, especially when it comes to things they take more seriously.
5. They accept that plans can fall apart
People raised before cell phones realize that even the best plans can still go sideways. However, they often can adjust and figure out what to do next instead of dwelling on the disappointment for hours.
This kind of mentality makes change easier to accept. They may be upset for a minute, but it doesn't make them fall apart. Younger generations, on the other hand, like to have every detail organized and readily adjustable in the event that something goes off track so they can fix it right away.
6. They don't let one moment ruin the whole day
Those who grew up in the 60s, 70s, and 80s have a unique talent for keeping minor inconveniences in their place. A frustrating morning or a last-minute errand won't get them down. They might be in a bad mood briefly, but it doesn't need to color everything that happens after.
Once the moment passes, they're ready to get on with whatever else is happening and leave their irritation behind. Young people might be more inclined to sit with their frustration and talk it through, even if that takes the rest of the day.
