Who doesn’t love a celebrity feud? Whether it’s the beefs of Kanye West, 50 Cent, Drake, Azealia Banks, or Nicki Minaj, the drama is a life source for some (guilty!). Though most of the time, those fights are resolved, because we’re all adults here, it’s an occasional guilty pleasure to watch two famous people go head-to-head.

But there are two music artists from the same hometown whose fallout has apparently come to an end.

Who is Hoodcelebrityy? Tina Pinnock (her real name), professionally known as Hoodcelebrityy, is originally from Jamaica, grew up in the Bronx and got her break in 2015 when Cardi B posted about her song, “Wine Pon It.” The song went viral, and Pinnock eventually signed to Epic Records.

Hoodcelebrityy released two mixtapes in 2017 and her single, “Walking Trophy,” ranked #22 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. She also appeared on Cardi B’s song “Back It Up,” and collaborated with Cardi B and Josh X on the song “Island Girls. Hoodcelebrityy was even the opening act for Cardi on The Underestimated Tour.

So what caused these two seemingly-friendly artists to call their friendship and professional relationship quits?

According to Hoodcelebrityy, it all fell apart when she signed with Cardi B’s former manager, Klenord “Shaft” Raphael; as a refresher, Raphael and Cardi B are currently involved in a legal battle.

In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Hoodcelebrityy said, “When Cardi got signed, I feel like I got signed, and when I got signed I got cursed out.” Cardi B also apparently found out about Hoodcelebrityy getting signed through social media.

She also discussed that she was hurt that Cardi never reached out to congratulate her when “Walking Trophy” became a hit. However, she did say she would never speak poorly about her former friend, and had nothing but good wishes for her.

And now, according to Page Six, the beef has been squashed.

Said Hoodcelebrityy, “My mother has always said to me, ‘Let me ask you a serious question: Did I give birth to twins? Were you born with this person? So why let that bother you? You were born alone, and you will die alone.’ Honestly, there are other things to talk about, like my music.”

It’s great that Hoodcelebrityy has taken the high road, and maybe she’ll even patch things up with Cardi B in the future. For now, she’s focusing on her career and climbing the music charts.
