Under normal circumstances, it's not nice to judge people by their pasts. However, Chris Brown has a history of abusing women — and that history shows no sign of being better in the present or the future. And that's why, when word got out that he was "getting cozy" with someone new, the first reaction amongst those with a whiff of common sense was, "What is she thinking?!" Who is DaniLeigh, and is she really "cozying up" to Chris Brown?

1. She has a sponsorship with Puma sneakers.

According to Kicks on Fire, DaniLeigh recently announced that she was part of the Puma family when, at ComplexCon, the venerated sneaker company said that she was their newest spokesmodel. Hip Hop superstar Gunna is another artist on the Puma roster, as well.

2. DaniLeigh got a career start from none other than the late, great Prince.

"Prince started that for me. He saw that in me and wanted to see what I could do with that as an artist. It was my first time doing anything as far as directing, so I practiced that. And just from being on set as a dancer, I got to meet different directors and be in the background and see how they would handle things, so I learned from that. I love it 'cause I get to be creatively involved with all of my visuals as well, so that just shows another side of that everything I'm doing is really genuine and true to who I am because I'm involved in everything," she told Harper's Bazaar

3. Chris Brown said that he wanted to be her 'bae.'

Naturally, someone as talented, beautiful, and connected as DaniLeigh is attractive to men of all types — even men like Chris Brown.

"Chris Brown, 30, jokingly considered himself to be singer DaniLeigh’s lover after his “Easy (Remix)” collaborator posted a selfie on Aug. 5. “Damn...I exposed bae in the background,” the 24-year-old singer of “Lil Bebe” captioned the hot shot. But instead of Breezy laying on her bed in the background, it was a forlorn teddy bear who took that spot," reported Hollywood Life.

This report, of course, comes on the heels of reports that Chris Brown got yet another woman pregnant.

4. This behavior is typical of men with narcissistic personality disorder.

"NPD is one of a group of conditions known as dramatic personality disorders. The person will have unstable and intense emotions and a distorted self-image. An unusual love of self, an excessive sense of importance and superiority and a preoccupation with success and power can indicate a lack of self-confidence. NPD often involves a deep sense of insecurity and a lack of self-esteem," reports Medical News Today, who adds that Chris Brown's excessive concern with how other people are merely pawns in his game is also indicative of a narcissist.

5. DaniLeigh isn't exactly taking the bait.

This isn't the first time that Chris Brown has "thirst trapped" on an Instagram post, and it won't be the last.

However, according to Hollywood Life, DaniLeigh isn't taking his comment seriously. She maintains that they're "just friends" and she doesn't want anything romantic with him. Additionally, she thought that his comment was "hysterical" and that their relationship is strictly platonic.

6. She prefers to be known as a "Prince Protege" rather than as the woman that Chris Brown is thirsty for.

“He was like, ‘Make sure whatever you put out as your own music is just as dope.' That always stuck. If a legend is telling me I’m dope, I must be dope,” she told Billboard Magazine.

You go, girl!
