Ariana Grande Tries To Set Friend Courtney Chipolone Up With A$AP Rocky After His Sex Tape Leak

After A$AP Rocky’s alleged sex tape surfaced last week, it seems like seeing the rapper in the flesh made Grande realize that he’s perfect one for one of her pals. The “Thank U Next” singer tweeted A$AP Rocky, sending him BFF Courtney Chipolone’s Instagram handle because, apparently, that’s just the kind of friend she is.
But who is Courtney Chipolone? And is anything going to happen between her and Rocky? Here’s what we know so far.

1. It all started with A$AP Rocky’s leak.
Last week, a since-deleted tape that was reportedly of A$AP Rocky hit Pornhub, leading Rocky to respond to the leak on Twitter.
“MY PENIS AND I WOKE UP 2 THE ALARMING DISTURBANCE OF A VIDEO CLIP 2DAY .AS HIS DEFENSE ATTORNEY WE’RE PREPARED 2 DENY ANY SLOW STROKES OR LACK OF KILLIN THE P****,” the rapper wrote. “A LONG LIST OF SATISFIED WOMEN CAN ATTEST TOO. BUT THE REAL PUNCHLINE IS SEEING PPL WHO NEVER F***ED HIM RATE HIM.”
2. Grande responded to Rocky’s tweet about the sex tape.
After seeing Rocky’s tweet, Grande sprung into action as a wingwoman for her friend, letting Rocky know that Chipolone had seen his penis and approved. Grande responded, writing, “my friend courtney says it looks just fine ! (@ courtneychipolone on ig).”
Later, in a separate tweet, Grande added, “merry christmas courtney.”

3. Who is Courtney Chipolone? She seems to be pretty close with Grande.
Grande makes frequent appearances on Chipolone’s Instagram, and it seems like they go back awhile. In fact, Grande and Chipolone reportedly grew up together in Boca Raton, Florida, which would make sense since earlier this year, Chipolone graduated from Florida State University.
In June 2018, Grande revealed that she has a tattoo that simply says “Court” on her Instagram in a story that has long since disappeared, although fans have captured it on Twitter. Seems like this friendship couldn’t be stronger!
4. She has been in more than one of Grande’s music videos.
It seems Chipolone has appeared in her videos for both “7 Rings” and “Thank U Next” — including her role as one of the plastics in that famous Mean Girls scene in the video.
During filming, Chipolone even shared a photo of her and Grande kissing, quoting the line from the movie, “So, you have your cousins, and then you have your first cousins, and then you have your second cousins...”
5. Grande sent Chipolone $800 to use at a strip club as a birthday gift.
Back in March, Grande and Chipolone caught fans’ attention when Grande shared on her Instagram Story that she’d sent her friend several hundred dollars in “strip club money” in celebration of her money. No word on whether or not that’s what it actually got used for, but it certainly had people talking.
6. So far, Rocky has yet to respond to Grande’s setup publicly.
But who knows? In the land of celebrity relationships, stranger things have happened. At least Chipalone got the opportunity to shoot her shot... with a little help from Grande, anyway.
