Demi Lovato Introduces New Boyfriend Austin Wilson In Adorable Instagram Post

instagram Nobody can resist the allure of a brand spankin’ new relationship, especially one in Hollywood! Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, Halsey and Evan Peters: new celebrity couples like these make us happy that two talented people could find love with one another.
And it looks like singer Demi Lovato had found romance once again with her new boyfriend. On November 13, Lovato posted a photo of her and her new beau, captioning it “My [heart emoji].” Wilson also posted a photo on his own Instagram with the caption, “My Love.”
Tagging him in her post, we’ve learned her new boyfriend is Austin Wilson. But exactly who is Austin Wilson?
Wilson is an LA-based model who has worked with Civil Regime, MSTKN, and For Those Who Sin. He’s most notable for his tattoos — primarily on his face! He also just turned 25 years old in May, only a few years younger than 27-year-old Lovato.
But his parents are also pretty well-known in the industry. His father, George Wilson, is a famous skateboarder from Z-Boys, who competed in the 1970s and 80s. He’s now the owner of the clothing line, Rivi Goods, which makes jeans. His mother is Ana Castronovo, who works for the yoga clothing brand, Spiritual Gangster. She’s also the regional manager for Johnny Was, a women’s clothing brand.
Prior to this relationship, Lovato dated Joe Jonas, Wilmer Valderrama, Luke Rockhold, Guilherme Vasconcelos, Henri Levy, and, most recently, Bachelorette alum Mike Johnson. She had gone on a few dates with Johnson just a few weeks ago, but it appears she’s already bounced back. Johnson later asked out Keke Palmer while appearing on Good Morning America. Cringe.
According to a source for People, “Demi and Austin have been friends for some time and started dating a little while ago. They’re enjoying spending time together and getting to know each other better. Demi is in a really good place right now and hard at work in both the studio and shooting Will and Grace.”
And she certainly deserves it, especially after her struggle with addiction. In July 2018, she overdosed, eventually revealing in an interview how far she’s come.
“What I see in the mirror [is] someone that’s overcome a lot. I’ve been through a lot and I genuinely see a fighter. I don’t see a championship winner, but I see a fighter and someone who's going to continue to fight no matter what is thrown their way. I have a lot of confidence now because I have said the things I believe in. I know I can hold my own on a first date with someone, in a conversation with someone. That’s what I see when I look in the mirror — a strong woman,” she said.
For now, we hope Lovato is enjoying her new romance!
