According to XXL Magazine, Polo didn't pursue music seriously until he became a senior in high school. One arrest, as told by the rapper,  was due to a high-speed chase involving a stolen car which he eventually crashed, allowing police to easily apprehend him. He shared in the interview that his string of jail time taught him to mature and that jail mates motivated him to clean up his act by living more cautiously.
