Olympic gymnast Simone Biles shared the sweetest birthday wishes for her boyfriend Stacey Ervin Jr. on Instagram on Monday, October 21.
“Happy birthday to the man of my dreams,” the athlete wrote on a photo of the couple exchanging a kiss surrounded by sunflowers. “So many things I love about you. Your energy lights up an entire room. You’re a true gentleman and you always put others first! Your mindset, grit and your passion for greatness. Twenty-six will be a great one! Never stop being you Stacey Ervin Jr. I love you. 224.”
Fans shared nothing but sweet sentiments and comments on the post. The pair has been together since 2017 and have been inseparable ever since. Both athletes are used to having busy schedules but that hasn’t stopped them from making it work. We ship these two really hard and can’t get enough of them.

1. The two met three years before they started dating
According to People, Biles met Ervin three years before they started dating (which started around Sept. 2017), during the P&G Gymnastics Championships. Biles and Ervin remained just friends for years even after she told him he was cute over Snapchat.
2. Their first date was at a sushi restaurant
Biles told People, “He took me to a sushi place. He knows I don’t like sushi and he forced me!” She continued, “It was out of my comfort zone, which I liked.” It must have been a pretty great date if they are still together!
3. Her biggest fan is her boyfriend
According to BET, Biles’ biggest fan is her boyfriend, Stacey Ervin Jr. Ervin, a former gymnast himself, spoke on Instagram about how proud he was of his girlfriend’s performance at the World Championships in Stuttgart. In a post with a picture of Biles on the medal podium after receiving gold for her fifth consecutive all-around title, Ervin wrote the following caption: “MY WOMAN IS A 5x WORLD CHAMPION IN THE ALL-AROUND & I COULDN’T BE MORE PROUD. I get hyped every time I watch her do her thing & today was no exception. Congratulations, babe! The whole world is proud of you.”
4. Symone gushed about Ervin on 'The Today Show'
According to BET, Biles gushed about Ervin on The Today Show, and shared how supportive he is.“Every time it's different, he basically just screams into the phone and tells me how proud he is of me,” said Biles when asked how he celebrates her historic wins. “He's awesome times two!”
5. Biles will be competing in the 2020 Olympic Games
Biles is preparing for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo which may be her last big competition. According to BET, “She is the defending all-around, vault, and floor exercise champ. She also won bronze on the balance beam at the 2016 games. Biles could walk away with five more Olympic golds, further adding to her legacy and cementing her status as one of the greatest athletes of all time.”
6. Biles shared an Instagram post missing her bf when her brother was arrested
Biles went through some serious drama after her brother, Tevin Biles-Thomas, was arrested and charged for triple murder on August 29. The incident occurred in December 2018 at a New Year’s Eve party, according to IN Touch Weekly. On the day of her brother’s arrest, she shared an Instagram post directed towards Ervin which said, “Missing you a lil extra today.”
