Is Ronan Farrow Frank Sinatra's Son?

Investigative reporter Ronan Farrow has become a force to be reckoned with.

Thanks to his hard-hitting journalism, once-powerful men in the entertainment industry have realized that, to turn a phrase, their time is up.

With his movie-star looks and dogged commitment to the truth, Ronan Farrow is a beautiful human in more ways than one.

And more than a few people have noticed that he bears a far more striking resemblance to legendary crooner Frank Sinatra than to the man who raised him, director Woody Allen.

is Ronan Farrow actually Frank Sinatra's son? What does his mom, actress Mia Farrow, have to say about it?

Born Satchel Ronan O'Sullivan Farrow in New York City on December 19, 1987, Farrow was destined for a bright future.

Considered the biological son of Woody Allen and then-longtime girlfriend, Mia Farrow, Ronan excelled in school, skipped grades, and was a UNICEF ambassador. After earning his J.D. at the Yale School of Law and serving as a government advisor for a time under the Obama Administration, he went on to earn his Doctor of Philosophy as a Rhodes scholar, eventually becoming a full-time journalist.

As a result of his series of investigative pieces published in The New Yorker in 2017, he's credited with being the one to finally bring decades of silenced allegations against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein to light, launching the MeToo Movement and earning The New Yorker and The New York Times the shared 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service.

His second book, "Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators." was released in October 2019 to great acclaim. No matter who his biological father is, Ronan Farrow is a true hero.

As for his personal life, Farrow, 32, is engaged to political speechwriter turned comedian, podcaster and producer, Jon Lovett, 37. The two have been an item since 2011, and became engaged in 2019.

Despite Farrow's own apparent lack of interest in questions about his paternity, mom Mia, with whom he's always been close, seems to enjoy the ongoing speculation, stirring the pot from time to time.

Just yesterday, she posted this impressive video on Twitter "In honor of a Steve Sondheim’s birthday," letting it be known to the world that Ronan Farrow has some serious chops.

Here's what we know about the ongoing debate over whether Ronan Farrow is Frank Sinatra's son, including what Mia Farrow, Woody Allen, and Nancy Sinatra have said.

Ronan Farrow has long been estranged from father Woody Allen.

Farrow has made his opinion of his father quite clear practically since the moment news broke that Allen was having an affair with Mia's adopted daughter, Soon-Yo Previn. Soon after Previn and Allen's 1987 marriage, Ronan told reporters, ""He's my father married to my sister. That makes me his son and his brother-in-law. That is such a moral transgression ... I cannot have a relationship with my father and be morally consistent."

Ronan has also long-supported sister Dylan, publicly and in private, in relation to her own claims that Allen "had "groomed" her with inappropriate touching as a young girl and sexually assaulted her when she was 7 years old."

Mia Farrow herself has said the rumors that Ronan might be Frank Sinatra's biological son could be true.

Mia Farrow was just 21 when she married the then 50-year-old singer at a friend's home in Las Vegas on July 19, 1966. Sinatra served her with divorce papers in November 1967, and their marriage officially ended in August 1968.

Surprising much of the world, Mia referred to Frank Sinatra as the love of her love life during a 2013 interview with Vanity Fair, saying the two "never really split up."

"When asked point-blank if her biological son with Woody Allen, Ronan Farrow, may actually be the son of Frank Sinatra," writes special correspondent Maureen Orth, "Farrow answers, 'Possibly.'"

Sinatra's daughter, Nancy, has called the rumors "nonsense," and her sister Tina agrees.

In an interview with CBS This Morning, Nancy Sinatra revealed that the rumors had been difficult for her and for her own children to deal with, as they were subjected to repeated questioning.

"I was kind of cranky with Mia for even saying possibly," she said. "because she knew better. She really did. But she was making a joke."

Tina Sinatra, Nancy's younger sister, agrees. In response to a reporter who asked if she believed Frank could be Ronan's biological father, Tina replied firmly, if somewhat snarkily, “Couldn’t be ... Frank had a vasectomy before that. I don’t know whose son Ronan is."

Woody Allen has made his opinion about Farrow's paternity quite clear.

Despite their differences, Allen says, though not entirely convincingly, that he (pretty much) believes he is Ronan Farrow's father.

If not, Allen has essentially asked, why did he pay Mia so much in child support over the years?

"In my opinion, he's my child," the famous director told reporter Daphne Merkin in 2018. "I think he is, but I wouldn't bet my life on it. I paid for child support for him for his whole childhood, and I don't think that's very fair if he's not mine,"

And touching on the subject in his newly released book, "Apropos of Nothing," Allen writes, “I think he’s mine, though I’ll never really know ... She may have still been sleeping with Frank, as she hinted, and may have had any number of outside affairs, for all I know."

These side-by-side pictures of Ronan Farrow and Frank Sinatra definitely make you wonder ...

Because the Internet is filled with armchair detectives, The New York Daily News posted a side-by-side photo of Ronan Farrow in between Frank Sinatra and Woody Allen. Others have done the same.

It should be noted that any apparent resemble doesn't necessarily mean anything.

To the day, Ronan Farrow himself acknowledges Allen as his father.

While Farrow speaks lovingly of the Sinatra family, he insist they have no ties other than close friendship.

"Woody Allen, legally, ethically, personally was absolutely a father in our family.," he's told The Hollywood Reporter, implying that making any statement otherwise would someone how lessen or deny the weight of Allen's alleged abuses against sister Dylan.
