An exciting night for this first-time Emmy winner!

After her very first Emmy win on September 14, Rachel Bloom took her exciting night even further by announcing her pregnancy during an Emmy press conference. After her win on the Emmy for Best Original Music and Lyrics, Bloom shared the news backstage with the Creative Arts Emmy Awards that she and husband Dan Gregor are three months pregnant with their first child which will be a baby girl!
After showing expressions of hesitation as she reached the podium, it was clear that Bloom was debating on whether or not to make the huge announcement. When asked what was going to be next for her, she responded with, “Well, also, I’m pregnant, so that’s what’s next for me. I get to tell my child she was with me when this happened” she said. “Which is really f-king cool!”

1. The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend actress was hesitant to share the news at the press conference.
Before making her announcement, the context clues from her expressions and mannerisms made you wonder if she was expecting. “So, that’s what’s next for me. I might as well do it at an Emmy press conference. I was going to post an Instagram, [but] … I’m three months pregnant,” she announced with a huge grin on her face.
2. Gregor was also at the Emmys when his wife shared the news.
Bloom’s husband Dan Gregor was also present to share the exciting moment with his wife. What a way to announce a pregnancy!
3. Bloom and the How I Met Your Mother producer have been married since January 2015.
The two wed after six years of dating. Dan Gregor is best known for writing and producing the shows Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and How I Met Your Mother.
4. Pregnancy will not delay Bloom’s future plans. According to Emmy reporters, she’s got “more fun stuff” in the works.
According to US Weekly, she is on tour for What Am I Going to Do with My Life Now? She explained that this is “because the question I get asked is, ‘What are you going to do with your life now?’ Hopefully write more Emmy***-winning songs. But even if don’t win, I’ll love them just the same.”
5. Bloom and Gregor are already proud dog parents.
Their shelter pet, Wiley, is a huge part of their family and is often featured in Bloom’s Instagram posts. In a recent post, Bloom wrote, “Wiley is actively afraid of the Emmy,” as the dog ran away afraid of the Emmy.
6. She still took to Instagram to share the exciting news.
In an Instagram post, Bloom shared a behind-the-scenes clip of her and her co-writers with their Emmys in hand. Alongside the photo, the caption reads, “WE WON AN EMMY!!!!!!! also btw I’m pregnant.”
