Somebody’s salty AF! TV personality and rapper, Chanel West Coast made headlines after taking to IG to air her anger at MTV for blocking her face with an ad for the VMAs. In the now deleted Instagram post, Coast issued the following complaint: 

“Hey @mtv can we please fire someone?” What person with no common sense puts the countdown graphics at top of screen???? They should be at bottom of screen always. This is [the] second year in a row you covered my face with a countdown ALL day for numerous episodes.”

Many of fans were quick to comment in solidarity and support for the burgeoning artist, who ended up walking the red carpet at the 2019 VMAs in a bold get-up. She received her first opportunity through Rob Dyrdrek’s now-defunct show, Fantasy Factory, where she worked as a receptionist. Later on, she made her acting debut, appearing in an episode in the MTV series, The Hard Times of RJ Berger. The rest, as we know, is history.
