Instagram Olympic figure skater and Dancing With The Stars season 18 winner Meryl Davis married Fedor Andreev on Saturday, June 22nd. The newlyweds got married in the garden of the 18th-century Le Mas des Poiriers farmhouse in the South of France. About 95 guests were present for the intimate ceremony, including Meryl's ice dancing partner Charlie White and fellow Olympians Brian Boitano, Mirai Nagasu, Jeremy Abbott, Evan Bater, Madison Chock, Tanith Belbin White and Kristi Yamaguchi. 1. He is her coach's son
Fedor Andreev is a 37-year-old Russian Canadian figure skater and his mother Marina Zoueva is Meryl Davis' coach. In 2014, Marina coached Meryl and Charlie White to the U.S.'s first ever Olympic gold medal in ice dancing. Later that same year, Davis won Dancing With The Stars with her partner Maksim Chmerkovsky.
2. How long have they been together?
Meryl and Fedor have been together since the fall of 2010. They got engaged in July 2017. At the time, Davis told TeamUSA.org: “Fedor is one of the kindest people that I’ve ever met. He has such a pure, beautiful heart and I think that’s what draws me to him the most. We both just like to enjoy life to the fullest, and I think we really try to bring that out in each other. And so whenever we’re together, we have the best time. He’s my best friend, and I just feel so incredibly lucky that I get to marry my best friend.”
3. So, who is he?
Fedor Andreev was born in Moscow, Russia on March 2, 1982. His family emigrated to Canada when he was seven. He's a figure skater who is the son of ice dance coach/choreographer Marina Zueva. He was formerly coached by his stepfather Alexei Tchetverukhin. He started out as a figure skater and is the 2003 Canadian bronze medalist and 1999 junior national champion. In 2010, the same year he met his now wife, he switched to ice dancing and competed for Russia with partner Jana Khokhlova. Fedor has also worked as a model for Abercrombie & Fitch, in runway shows, and in commercials.
4. Why France?
As for why the couple chose the South of France for thier nuptials, Meryl told PageSix that they were up for an adventure: "Traveling and seeing the world and going on an adventure, it’s such a part of our lives and who we are as a couple and sort of what makes us happy, and I think a lot of our friends and family identify us as that,” Davis shared.
