N'Sync's Joey Fatone has been dating Izabel Araujo for more than four years. On June 2nd, the couple made a red carpet appearance at the Critics' Choice Real TV Awards and Fatone confirmed he was in the midst of a divorce from his wife, baby mama and high school sweetheart Kelly Baldwin. Fatone filed for divorce from Baldwin on May 13th in Florida. The couple share two daughters together: 18-year old Briahna and 9-year-old Khloey and are committed to co-parenting them. What we want to know now, though, is who is Izabel Araujo?
1. She is from Brazil
Izabel Araujo was born September 8, 1985 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. She moved to the U.S. and settled in Florida with her mother Magda Bruning and her brother Henrique. Izabel's mother runs a cleaning service, Maggie's Maids in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area. Araujo moved to Los Angeles.
2. How did she meet Joey?
Details on how, exactly, Joey and Izabel met aren't clear but it was in 2014 and their first date at the Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Hollywood. Every year they celebrate their anniversary by going back to the attraction.
3. Instagram tribute
In October 2018, Izabel marked their fourth annivesary with a sweet note on Instagram. “4 years ago I met him at #halloweenhorrornights for our first date. We’ve been celebrating it every year at the same place ever since. Not your typical love story but I wouldn’t change a thing!!” she captioned a photo of her and Fatone posing in front of a haunted house. “Looking forward to celebrating many more with my partner in crime! #happy4years #hhn #Halloween #Lovestory."
4. She's close with his kids
After four and a half years of dating, Izabel has formed her own relationships with Joey Fatone and Kelly Baldwin's daughters. In fact, when Briahna graduated from high school recently, Izabel was there and happy to share the day and congratulate her.
