2. Hotel Americano
The Hotel Americano may be small in small in size (only 56 rooms), but is big on design. Already a Chelsea hot spot, they’ve set up shop near the ever-popular Highline and art galleries in the neighborhood. The concept is a nod to the Mexico City-based roots with an “urban ryokan” concept. (Room service is delivered via Bento Box.) The wood-lined sleeping pods beg to become the center of attention with platform beds and clean, white linens. While minute, the bathroom features a one-way mirror looking onto the room from the shower.
