Thanks to The New York Times, the world knows Harvey Weinstein is a creep who sexually harassed the women he worked with.

Thankfully, the producer was fired from the company he co-founded, his wife divorced him and his reputation is ruined all in the span of a few days. That doesn't make anything he has said in the past less hurtful or gross, though. Especially in hindsight.

If things a person say reveal character, then these Harvey Weinstein quotes prove that he was showing his true colors to the world for some time.

We just didn't see it.

But now, looking back over the things that he said, it's plain to see, there was more to the man than meets the eye.

Here are some of his most well-known quotes that best describe the disgust we are all feeling now.

1. Degrading an intern.

“You're a dildo! You are a dildo. Say it, 'I'm a dildo.’”  Harvey Weinstein

A report by Vice says that Weinstein called a former employee a "dildo" and made the poor employee (who was unnamed in the article) repeat it.

2.  Threatening an intern (yes, another one).

“From now on I’m going to call you f***face.”  Harvey Weinstein

A former intern, who would rather remain anonymous, reported to Gawker that Weinstein gave him the nickname "f***face."

The intern went on to say that Weinstein even introduced him to everyone as this horrible pet name. I doubt many people can say their employer gave them a worse nickname.

3. On his daughters.

“I’m the father of four daughters." — Harvey Weinstein

Those poor girls. I really hope he doesn't say any of the nasty stuff he has said to women in the movie industry over the years.

I'm praying they grow up to be strong women who are not afraid and do not allow themselves to be undermined or abused by men.

4. Weinstein on sexual harassment as a culture.

“I came of age in the ‘60s and ’70 when all the rules about behavior and workplaces were different. That was the culture then.” Harvey Weinstein

Oh, so sexual harassment is considered a culture? You're wrong there, Mr. Weinstein.

Yes, women weren't treated as equal as they are today but my parents don't behave like that.

No one I know who grew up in the '60s and '70s behaves like that.  It's just you.

5. On being a dictator.

"I'm a benevolent dictator."  Harvey Weinstein

No, no you're not. Besides, in my book, being a dictator isn't a compliment? And there's no such thing as a "benevolent dictator," sorry.

6. Harvey Weinstein on Harvey Weinstein's personality.

“All my movies got screwed up because of my personality.” Harvey Weinstein

I wonder why? <sarcasm> Maybe it has something to do with you being a terrible person, Mr. Weinstein.

At least 8 women had legal settlements with the movie producer over a course of 30 years, and that's only the women who were able to take him to court.

7. On his journey.

“Though I’m trying to be better, I know I have a long way to go.” — Harvey Weinstein

Weinstein wrote this in a statement to the New York Times.  This quote is only creepy because he says he is *trying* to do better, but still has a long way to go.

How about you just go from harassing women to NOT harassing women. That's all it takes.

8. Harvey Weinstein's NRA quote.

“I am going to need a place to channel that anger so I’ve decided that I’m going to give the NRA my full attention.” — Harvey Weinstein

Great. A harasser with guns. Didn't we just have a terrible situation with a madman and guns in Las Vegas? Please just work on subduing your anger instead, Mr. Weinstein.

9. On being a role model for children.

“I wanted to do something inspirational for my children.” Harvey Weinstein

When I think of inspirational people, I definitely don't think of someone who sexually discriminates against women or sexualizes coworkers.

He won't be winning any awards for his inspiration any time soon, that is for sure.
