Divorced Guys are not lawyers or mental health professionals.  We are men with PhDs in divorce survival dedicated to educating, supporting, informing and coaching men from separation to the life transition beyond divorce.

Divorced Guys was created in 2008 by Bruce Smith and Roge Revak; both are divorce experts with different specialties.

Roger is an accomplished speaker, trainer, author, personal coach, and co-founder of Divorced Guys. He is a brain tumor and divorce survivor, and has successfully undergone several life reinventions. He has studied personal development/reinvention and the psychology of women for more than 18 years. He has successfully coached men regarding: finding your life's purpose, dating after divorce, emotional strength, and relationship strategies with your ex-wife. He is the creator of the term Destroyed Nest Syndrome, explaining the psychological struggle a man has regarding divorce custody issues. He is the author of Internal Vision: A Ten-Day Journey to True Happiness and co-author of Moving Forward: The First Ever Comprehensive Guide for Separated and Divorced Men.

Bruce is an accomplished speaker, author, personal coach, and co-founder of Divorced Guys. He is a divorce survivor, and has studied personal development/spiritual growth for over 20 years. He has successfully coached men in the areas of: divorce preparation and process, custody and asset separation negotiations, divorce agreement review, choosing and working with a lawyer, fatherhood after divorce, and financial survival before and after divorce.  He has an MBA in Finance, is the creator of MOVE FRWD (sm) a change modelplement change in a man's life, and a writer on the topic of the spiritual aspect of divorce. He is the co-author of Moving Forward: The First Ever Comprehensive Guide for Separated and Divorced Men.

The Reason I Became A Helping Professional

We believe that the impact of divorce on men is one of the top hidden social issues in today's society (linked story is one example).  Evidence is further found various studies,showing:

• the significant impact that fatherless children have on society.
• nearly one out of two men are just getting by or worse after divorce.
• that the suicide rate for men impacted by divorce is higher compared to women.

We are not saying that divorce is any easier for a woman compared to a man, only that there has been no successful holistic attempt to service men impacted by divorce - from divorce education to finances to moving forward after divorce.

Our goal is to improve the life of a million men and change the way society views divorce - from a event that is negative and perceived as a failure to an opportunity of positive change and reinventiion.
