Who Is Adam Spott? Meet Sheana Marie Shay's New Man
Sheana Marie Shay has a new man in her life. Who is Adam Spott?
Sheana Marie Shay has had a colorful dating life, to say the least. The "Vanderpump Rules" star seems to have a different man on her arm every week. These days, she’s been seen cuddled up to fellow SUR employee Adam Spott.
The 33-year-old Shay says that things with 29-year-old Spott are complicated for the moment but who knows what could happen on the next season of the show.
Spott is a bartender at SUR and has been on the show since spring of 2018. In addition to slinging drinks, he works as a model and actor.
Who is Adam Spott? Read on for all the details.
1. Pennsylvania boy
Spott grew up in Pennsylvania and went to Lackawanna Trail Junior-Senior High School. He spent his non-school hours working at country clubs and restaurants in the area before heading to Florida State University to get a degree in hospitality services.
He kept working as a server and bartender through college, as well as doing a management internship at a resort. He told his hometown news site The570, “I always wanted to work in the service industry (and) wanted to do that kind of work.”
2. Modeling
After college, he moved around a bit before settling in Atlanta. A magazine there named him one of Atlanta’s most eligible bachelors. That article led to offers for modeling work and he started doing that, eventually singing with the prestigious Wilhemina modeling agency.
3. L.A. Bound
After modeling on the East Coast, Spott decided now was the time to try his luck in L.A. and see if he could transition to acting work.
“I figured I always wanted to be out here, and if there was ever a time to go after what I wanted to do, might as well strike while the iron was hot.”
But the cost of living in L.A. meant he needed steady work in addition to modeling an acting. Drawing on his previous restaurant experience, he got the job at SUR. From the start, he enjoyed working there and liked owner Lisa Vanderpump.
“She’s always looking out for you, and she knows how difficult it can be to move to a city like L.A. with no connections,” he said. "She always has her employees’ best interests in mind. She’s very intimidating, and she will tell you to button up your shirt and stand up straight, but she is one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever met.”
4. Vanderpump Rules
Working at SUR meant Spott had access to cameras — reality cameras. He credits Shay with getting him on board the "Vanderpump Rules" production and he was added to the reality show roster in April 2018. He hopes both the bartending and the reality gig will lead to more work.
“You meet so many people in the entertainment industry. That’s what so cool about here. You can shake the right hand, and the next thing you know, you’re working your dream job.”
5. True love?
Fans of the show know that the relationship between him in Shay is more than just friendship. The two have definitely been having a fling in recent episodes and she even said she was thankful for him at Thanksgiving. But Shay has also been playing the field.
Around the holidays, she says she rekindled a romance with ex-boyfriend Rob Valletta, who had been her post-divorce rebound. She also has been out with "Bachelorette" alum Robby Hayes. The pair even went out on a date that was filmed for the show but after that, he ghosted.
"I actually have not spoken to him since October, and it still baffles me because him and I were such good friends," she said. "We went to Hawaii together. We went on a few dates. We made out on that date, as you saw. And then, he was on a trip in Mexico, we were texting and I was like, ‘I miss you. Let’s have a Robby-Scheana day soon.’ And he was like, ‘Yeah. I’ll be back tomorrow.’ … I’ve literally never heard from him again. It just is the weirdest thing to me.”
Meanwhile, she doesn’t have much to say about her relationship with Spott other than to say it’s complicated. She explains, “We’re in the exact same place as we were where you’re watching the show right now. So, it hasn’t progressed, it hasn’t worsened. It’s just there.”
"Vanderpump Rules" is on Bravo.
