Have you ever been the "practice wife"? You know, when you're with a guy for a long time, maybe even live together and are practically married in every way except legally, and then you break up and he marries the woman that comes after you?
It's frustrating and confusing, to say the least. It makes you wonder if there was something wrong with you or if you weren't quite right.

Did he become marriage material because of the time and effort you put into making your relationship work? It can feel as if you were the one responsible for creating someone who could commit to a long-term relationship.
When you invest a lot of time in someone with the hopes that they'll someday be your husband, it can be devastating when they choose someone else to marry.
It can be difficult to see that, for whatever reason, it just wasn't a good fit.
You're amazing and awesome, and he's going to miss out, but there's probably someone who is a better fit for you right around the corner.
