6 Ways To Make A T-Shirt Look Sexy Enough For Date Night

white t-shirt 6 ways

Trying to find the perfect date night outfit is always a challenge. You don't want to look like you're trying too hard but not trying at all isn't acceptable either. So I asked my boyfriend the last time we went out to dinner what I should wear. His response? "I like it simple. A white t-shirt and jeans."

If you are anything like me, keeping it simple is usually pretty hard. I love loud colors, too many bracelets and uncomfortable shoes! However, sometimes for a date—especially first dates!—you have to play it down a bit and give 'em what they want. And be sexy.

So I put together 6 outfits I think are fun, comfortable, and a little sexy (with an edge). Keeping it simple and sexy was easier than I thought.

The Basic Blazer
A white T-shirt, black blazer and a pair of boyfriend jeans are a must-have in all of my client's wardrobes. Why not pair all three pieces together and add a fun pointed-toe pair of shoes and a handbag? Sometimes going back to the basics is all an outfit really needs anyway.

The Print
A fit and flare skirt is a piece that is flattering on most body types. This one is from H&M and is not only super- affordable, but it also has subtle colors that aren't over the top. I added the T-shirt, the clutch, the shoes (snag a similar pair here!) and the moto leather jacket to balance out the edgy and feminine elements; sometimes that makes an outfit that much more put together.

The Practical & Tactical
Utility pants have been a trend we've seen over and over, season after season. And military-inspired is back on top this Fall! So why not wear it out for date night? Get the look by pairing army-colored utility pants with a white T-shirt, a casual bag and cute, comfy shoes (snag a similar pair here!). Not only does it look effortless, it's very on trend. And did I mention comfortable?

The Rocknroll
This is my favorite look! The ripped up, paint splattered, faded grey jean is my go-to this fall season. It's the statement piece without having to make a statement. Add the white T-shirt, over-the-knee boot and moto leather jacket for an edgy pop, top it off with a shoulder bag, and you're good to go!

The Pretty In Pink
Like I mentioned before, the fit and flare skirt is something that is flattering on most body types and it's a staple in every woman's wardrobe (along with the white T-shirt)! I added a pair of caged heels, my athletic jacket from spring season (for a bit of color and comfort) and a versatile bag. It's always important to me to reuse things in my closet from the season before so I feel like I'm getting the most bang for my buck!

The Comfy Chic
As the weather cools down, the black leather moto jacket might not be warm enough. I found this adorable coat from Forever21 for $40! It had everything I was looking for: affordability, bright colors and interesting details. I took one of the coat colors and paired it with a shoe that matched perfectly,
