'Vanderpump Rules' Star Brittany Cartwright Sparks Pregnancy Rumors With Recent Baby Bump

Instagram In a recent public appearance, Brittany Cartwright — she of Vanderpump Rules fame — appeared in a photo wearing a leopard-print dress. That should have been enough for most people, but then, it was revealed that Brittany looked a little thicker around the waist than usual. That, of course, led to the speculation that she might have a bun in the oven. But is Brittany Cartwright pregnant?
Let's start out by saying the following: there are a number of reasons why it's a bad idea to ask someone if they're pregnant. To start, you don't know if they have fertility issues. You don't know if the reason they can't get pregnant — or aren't pregnant — is because of fertility issues, and bloating is a symptom of both PCOS and endometriosis. You don't know if, perhaps, they chose not to have children for reasons having nothing to do with fertility, and just don't want a child. You don't know if someone just gained weight, and is feeling self-conscious about it. Basically, the long and the short of it is, there are a million reasons why a woman could be thicker around the middle and they have nothing to do with pregnancy. So the best course of action is not to jump to conclusions, and have people tell you if and when they're pregnant.
But, let's look at what we know about the possibility that Brittany Cartwright might, indeed, be pregnant.
1. It started with a picture.
The rumors about Brittany Cartwright's alleged pregnancy kicked off with a photo that appeared on Radar, in which she seemed to show off a "baby bump" while wearing a leopard-print dress. The outlet, of course, reports that her husband, Jax Taylor, "couldn't keep his hands off of her" when he saw her in the leopard-print dress that "showed off her curves", which is apparently code for "she's pregnant, y'all!"
2. This isn't the first time Brittany Cartwright was suspected of having a bun in the oven.
Just one week ago, on October 3, 2019, Radar published some photos of Brittany Cartwright looking thicker around the middle than usual. She, again, was with her husband Jax Taylor, and seemed to be hiding her stomach from the paparazzi's eye. (Not that she succeeded in doing so, but give her points for trying.)
3. She said she wasn't using protection with Jax Taylor.
TMI for the win! “I’m definitely eager to have kids and Jax is eager to have kid. He’ll be 40 two weeks after [the wedding]. I’m 30, we’re ready. We’re buying a house. When it happens it happens. We’re not going to be very careful. We’re gonna let it come with God’s grace, and he’ll give us a baby when it’s ready,” she told Us Weekly.
4. And because hearing it the first time wasn't enough, Jax Taylor also confirmed he wasn't using protection with Brittany Cartwright, either.
“Yeah, we’re obviously open to it, we’re not like, well I guess yeah, we’re working on it. We’re working on it, I’ll leave it at that, we’re working on it," he said to Hollywood Life at an Avocado Brunch. Well ... alright then, sir. Thank you for that insight. We are so much richer for knowing about your sex life with Brittany Cartwright.
5. Is this a "band-aid baby"?
Babies have never made men stay, but they've certainly made men leave. And, if you believe previous reports from Radar, they were having problems shortly after they got married. The outlet reports that Jax Taylor was photographed without a ring and looking gaunt shortly after the wedding, so it's entirely possible that this baby (if it's real) was designed to try to "save" the alleged failing marriage.
6. Jax Taylor cheated on Brittany Cartwright last year.
Entertainment Tonight got the exclusive scoop of all the drama on last season of Vanderpump Rules, where it was revealed that Jax Taylor cheated on Brittany Cartwright. The outlet reports that he was caught cheating with a woman named Faith Stowers, and she wasted no time in spilling all the tea about her affair with Jax Taylor. "[Jax] was Twittering, dm'ing me for a whole year trying to hang out. I did not accept his advances because I, at the time, everyone knew they were a couple. They were fresh, they were new. What transpired was when he was telling me they were done, which was proven on the audio, and he was pretty much telling me they were done, so I’m thinking, ‘OK, I’ll give you a shot now,'" she told the outlet.
But, now, Faith is in the past, and it's entirely possible that these two are having a baby, so congratulations or something.
