Who Is Penny Drossos? New Details About Teresa Giudice's Ex-Friend Who Says Teresa Isn't A 'Victim'
One of Teresa Giudice's former friends and current enemies has had it with her.
Penny Drossos — who "Real Housewives of New Jeresy" diehards will remember famously feuded with Teresa on the show — told Radar Online that she has no sympathy for the reality star as her husband, Joe Giudice, prepares to be deported.
“There have been so many negative stories about Joe Giudice lately and having been involved with his family and Teresa in the past I felt the need to speak up,” Penny said. “Teresa isn’t the victim she portrays herself to be whatsoever. She is a master manipulator and will use her manipulation tactics in an attempt to garner sympathy and make any situation be pro-her."
As you probably recall, Joe is scheduled to be released from prison on March 14, where he's been serving a 42-month sentence for tax fraud. A U.S. immigration judge recently ruled that he should be kicked out of the country and deported to his native Italy after his release due to his illegal immigration status.
Upon his release, he will be taken into ICE custody, where he is still waiting on an opinion of this appeal.
So who is Penny Drossos and what else does have to say about Teresa? Here's everything we know.
1. She thinks Teresa is playing innocent.
“Do I think he was a perfect husband to Teresa? Absolutely not,” Penny told Radar Online. “But for her to play the innocent and uninformed act is also ridiculous and a fabrication of the truth. In time everyone will see it.”
Teresa's brother, Joe Gorga, recently revealed that if Joe does get deported, Teresa is prepared to get divorced.
"If he goes to Italy, they're not going," Joe said of Teresa and their four daughters. "I mean, she has no choice,” Gorga said. “She has to be prepared. What is she going to do?”
2. She believes she'll get divorced for the show's storyline.
Penny said that Teresa would get divorced if she felt like Joe's deportation could ruin her presence on the show.
“I already read the hate on social media people are starting to have for her. She’s not that well liked and if Joe does end up being deported, her storyline is more or less done. That’s the only thing she’s had going for the past four years. Do you think anyone really cares about her competing in a fitness show?”
“Mark my words. If Joe does get deported there’s another book coming from her about divorce and living on her own and moving on. Teresa will always capitalize and try to make money on any situation she’s going through. That’s a fact.”
3. Teresa confirmed that she would get divorced.
Teresa has already confirmed during the RHONJ season 9 reunion that if Joe is deported, they will go their separate ways.
“I’m not doing a long-distance relationship. I’m not doing it,” she said. “I want somebody with me every day. I know exactly what happens — I’m sure he’ll be with other women. It happens. You do the long-distance thing, it’s not going to work. I’d be like, ‘Bye-bye.’”
She also said moving to Italy is highly unlikely.
“Unless my kids say, ‘Mommy, we want to move to Italy,’ [we] are not going,” she said. “Gia’s going to college next year; I haven’t spoken to Milania or Audriana about it, we haven’t gotten there yet; and Gabriella already voiced her opinion to me. She was like, ‘That would be so hard for me, Mommy.’ She doesn’t speak the language. She’s like, ‘That would kill me even more.’”
“It’s like starting a whole new life. And they’ve been through so much already.”
4. She could spill some tea on Teresa.
Penny even joked about writing her own book about the situation.
“Maybe all of us — and there’s a number of us — who Teresa attempted to use as her pawns should get together and do a book. Now that would be something juicy,” she told Radar Online.
“Trust me, I’ve got lots to share and a good deal of it is shocking. And I know I’m not alone.”
5. She works in hair.
Since leaving Real Housewives of New Jersey, Penny has been working as a hairdresser. Her Facebook Page describes her as a "Celebrity Hairdresser, Mom, Wife and Friend," and owner of Medusas Hair Loft.
