As I was searching the internet looking at all things zodiac, I was completely taken aback by the number of posts on (wait for it) the signs as pasta. Yep, apparently everyone and their mother, and their mother's mother, has an opinion about which zodiac sign is best suited with each kind of pasta.
I know, I don't get it either. My guess is that because pasta is so popular, everybody has very strong feelings on which pasta is best, how you should prepare it, and even if you should eat anywhere besides Italy. What I'm saying is that as seriously as people take astrology (and trust me, some people are obsessed with it), people are even more passionate about pasta.
The next time you want to get a conversation started between people who don't know each other, ask them which pasta they think goes best with their astrological sign and wait for things to get intense.
Aries (March 21 - April 19): Tortellini
You can be as adventurous as you like with these golden packets of deliciousness.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20): Farfalle
Farfalle is pretty enough for Taurus with its bow-shape. It's especially great when served with a vibrant sauce such as pesto.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20): Ziti
Ziti is great for dinner parties. All you have to do is assemble it and put it in the oven. As it bakes, you're free to socialize, which as we know, Gemini loves to do.
Cancer (June 21 - July 22): Gnocchi
Gnocchi are little self-contained packets of deliciousness, just like Cancers.
Leo (July 23 - August 22): Lasagna
Lasagna is the star of any meal and being the center of attention is something Leo seeks as well.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22): Ravioli
Raviolis are neat, precise, and take skill to make, which makes them perfect for Virgo. Also, you can fry them if you really want to be wild.
Libra (September 23 - October 22): Fettuccine
You can put almost anything on fettuccine and it works. In other words, like Libra, fettuccine is harmonious and appealing to almost everyone.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21): Rigatoni
What you see is what you get with rigatoni — tubes of varying sizes with ridges so the sauce and/or cheese stick. Scorpios value honesty and directness, so rigatoni is the perfect pasta for them. Oh, and rigatoni is known as one of the sexier pastas because of its shape.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21): Orzo
Like Sagittarius, orzo is very surprising — it looks like rice but is really pasta. You can make a salad with it or treat it the way you would any other pasta.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19): Spaghetti
Spaghetti shares many qualities with Capricorn: it's dependable (you can count on it to get you out of a jam, such as when you have last-minute guests for dinner), you can dress it up or down, and at its essence it's comfort food.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18): Orecchiette
With its ear-like shape, orecchiette is unorthodox just like the Aquarius. It's unique, distinctive, and slightly unconventional.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20): Manicotti
Manicotti lets the creative person go wild with fillings and sauces, much like Pisces.
