Bethenny Frankel Is A "Skinny Girl" In Her 4-Year-Old's Pajamas

Bethenny Frankel may be taking the whole "Skinny Girl" thing too far — by wearing toddler clothes.

Bethenny Frankel loves attention, and now that she's no longer a reality star nor a talk show host, she has to get it somehow. This time, she got it by Instagramming a photo of herself in her four-year-old daughter's pajamas.

While Frankel may have seen the image as lighthearted and cutesy, the world at large disagreed. Frankel received a barrage of negative commentary from the Twitterverse about her scarily skinny frame.

Frankel took to the medium herself to respond to the drama she spawned, writing, "BREAKING NEWS! World Scandal: Former reality star, failed talk show host & cocktail maven jokes by wearing her kids’ pjs! ‪#itcantbetrue." She added, "When ur 4 year old peanut says 'mommy please put my dress on' & giggles uncontrollably, u do what ur told."

Frankel seems to have a sense of humor about the matter, but accusing someone of having an eating disorder is no joke.

Millions of women suffer from EDs, and images like this, along with commentary about one's body, can be pretty triggering for some women struggling with their own issues. (Frankel herself admitted to starving herself years ago, so this probably wasn't a great day for her.)

Instead of criticizing Frankel about her body, why not turn one's attention to the media monsters who proliferate ultra-thin ideals? Perhaps if that weren't the case, women as a whole — not just Frankel — wouldn't feel the need to conform to a standard to be the same width as a toddler.

Another thing Frankel seems to have a sense of humor and self-awareness about? The state of her career. Perhaps if she were less self-absorbed on her show and perhaps if her career was going a bit better, she wouldn't feel the need to cave in to her every daughter's whimsy and embarrass herself over the Internet. Her body may look hungry to some, but her real problem seems to be thirst.
