If you thought speculation about the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie adaptation would end after the lead actors were cast, you were oh so wrong. With Christian and Ana named, attentions have turned to the script and whether or not it will live up to E.L. James' written word.
At a New York Fashion Week event earlier this week, Chloe Bridges baited us with a little preview of the script. The Carrie Diaries actress saw sides used in the audition process, which were apparently too hot for her to handle. "There were three pages of sides that I was going to audition with," she told Cosmopolitan.com. "I read them and then was like, I really can't do this."
She continued to divulge information saying, "If you read these three pages of asides, you would die," but that didn't stop her from showing friends. From Chloe's description, the script used in auditions is mighty racy.
Without revealing too much about the scene, Chloe said, "The scene was, like, the girl telling her friends about some sexcapade she had ... But it goes into extreme detail and uses the word 'sperm' a couple times." While the pages Chloe saw were too much for her ("I feel like I would have less problem being nude than I would being graphic"), she respects Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson for being able to take on the roles.
The film, which has an August 1, 2014 release date, still has no rating, but we're sure there will be plenty of both graphic language and nudity. Until then we just have to wait until the first teaser trailer, which is set to air during next year's Super Bowl.
