Eh I don't think this advise is very good. What if she just generally doesn't like having sex and when he tries to push it onto her it makes them separate even more?
In my opinion the wife hates sex with him, he might be really bad at it, and that's why she doesn't want to be touched, rubbed... It's really easy to blame the girl and not think that it might the guy who's doing it wrong. I might be mistaken but that's what I think.
