And another Hollywood marriage bites the dust. After much speculation over whether or not Usher had officially filed for divorce from his wife Tameka Foster—the deed was finally done over the weekend. It’s sad to hear that another Hollywood couple just couldn’t make it work. But, it's been rough going for the couple since they married in August of 2007. The couple have two young children together (Usher Raymond V is 18 months and Naviyd is just six months) yet they still couldn’t make things work. There was trouble in paradise before they even tied the knot because Usher’s notoriously overbearing mother was quite vocal of just how much she disapproved of Tameka. But, despite rumors of their relationship being on shaky ground since saying "I Do" Usher and Tameka did have moments where it seemed like everything was going strong. For instance, back in February, Tameka suffered complications while undergoing plastic surgery in Brazil. Usher immediately canceled his scheduled performance at Clive Davis’s Pre-Grammy Gala so he could rush to be by her side.  How To Ease Mother-In-Law Conflict

 

But, according to People magazine, even that close call wasn’t enough to keep their marriage alive. Since then Usher has done his best to keep Tameka away—he even chose to record his upcoming album across the country in Las Vegas. 

 

So, what did Usher and Tameka do once this news was made official? The night before Usher filed the papers, Tameka was in Atlanta. She took their oldest son to a screening of the Eddie Murphy movie Imagine That. According to onlookers Tameka didn’t appear to be a woman scorned . . . instead she looked happy and was smiling.

 

Usher, however, was on the other side of the country in Los Angeles the night the papers were filed hanging out with some friends at the nightclub MyHouse. He was described to be in a “mellow mood" and we don’t blame the guy. But, we have a feeling his charming smile will attract lots of ladies who will be more than happy to help get him through this tough time!  Moving On, Hollywood-Style
